You must have done so much research on him that you even found an alternate way to spell his name correctly.
If I'm Welker/Edleman, I'm really afraid right now. Wilson is going to be shutting them down and blowing up every screen they try to throw to him. The dude can cause some serious damage with his build and aggression. I just hope he doesn't hesitate at the line because I wouldn't put it past New England's douche-fuck OLine to go head hunting on our corners again.
What kind of idiot are you to say this? Nobody ever said Mangina was the best defensive mind in the NFL. He was a coordinator for one season. Rex Ryan has a whole history of #1 defenses and turned this mediocre D into a dominant #1 in the NFL defense. Look how much better they got under him. Rex earned his reputation through years of top notch defense.. get a clue.
Hughes is a BEAST! Are you kidding me? I think you took 1 too many hits to the head with that face palm.
Thanks, Abyz. Anyway, back to Wilson... I can't get over how players are actually getting excited to be drafted by the Jets instead of just excited to get drafted in the first round.
I have been saying the Marshall trade makes the Fins much better against the rest of the league. The Fins were just brutal against any team not named the Jets. Marshall will be more or less neutralized against Revis. Last year Revis really had no one to cover against the Fins. Lets face it they had no real true #1 Wr. Yeah Revis got beat by Ginn but that play was a conglomeration of errors and can be argued that Rhodes was the culprit. Anyway, their wr's aren't scary per se but Bess, Camarillo, and Hartline can make plays if the D isn't careful. There really isn't many teams that can line a CB up against a #1 WR and effectively take him out of the game, like the Jets.
big fan of the pick. I felt like the pats & fins were trying to stick it to us w/ their picks ahead what does Wilson bring to the table that McCourty doesn't, both look like studs. I thought he could've been our guy
Anyone wondering if they should have taken Kindle can stop worrying about that - he may need microfracture surgery. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2010/04/something_to_ex.html
I did not look at it that way, well put. For your sake, I hope Cromartie stays away from the New York women or he may lose more than his focus. Though it wouldn't be a travesty if Cromartie couldn't pull his ish together after drafting Wilson. As far as having the best tandem in the league next year, I'll hold off on that till I see this kid in the NFL and making plays. CB must not be deep in this draft considering Wilson was the 4th Cb taken in the 1st round.
I like this pick hes a good man cover corner and can stop the run where cromartie lacks. Dont know much about his special teams but atleast we got a replacement for mr glass strickland. Hopefully we go DL next pick
I went to sleep after pick 24 (Dez White). At that point, I was thinking that any of Dan Williams, Odrick or Wilson would be great, but there were 4 picks in between, meaning 2 players would have to go that weren't expected to go. I was thinking Clausen and Tebow would be the only way. Thank God for Belicick taking McCourty. Am I crazy or is Belicick just not a good drafter?
