Sounds about right. Clausen does not have that one trait that stands out. Every thing is NFL caliber, but nothing that would be an NFL best as far as the physical skill set goes.

That said he is light years ahead in the NFL type offense, is very accruate and does not throw many picks at all. He is a good canidate to step in right away as a starter and do well, where Bradford has a superior arm and a bigger frame overall, but will take a bit more time to adjust to the NFL style offenses. Bradford may have the higher celling due to physical traits (size, arm, ect), but is not as polished as of right now.

Keep in mind, while Bradford is more prototype size, Clausen is very similar in size to our QB and we see how much that hindered him last season. :)

Sanchez is a better athlete, can get good throws off without having his feet set and was a winner. Sanchez has a great deep ball as well.

Sanchez also had a good defense at USC, while ND's was horrible. Clausen has a good deep ball, played through a injury most of the season and threw 4 picks this past season. Sanchez's footwork looks miles ahead in thier junior seasons, but I wonder if his knee affected him as much as Jimmy's toe did in that respect.

I liked Sanchez as a prospect better than Clausen, but Jimmy will be a good NFL QB somewhere. I just hope its not buffalo.

I'm guessing the Vikings will pick him in round 2. They traded down because they know that the 1st pick isn't going to pick a QB.

Anyone who wants him can get him. St. Louis wants to trade the pick.

So where does Caulsen rank on the Ryan Leaf - Jay Cutler Personality Disorder Chart? That may determine who picks him and when tomorrow. He's getting diced for the Gruden thing where Gruden tried to analyze one of his interceptions and got no accountability at all out of him. It probably never occurred to Clausen that Gruden specifically picked an interception where the fault was not clear to see his reaction and hit a nasty vein in his personality in the process.

A couple of million dollars down the drain because Clausen covered up and got defensive instead of acting like a leader. Jesus.

I really don't think it was his personality. I think it was his injury, his deep ball, his windup and his ability to not throw between the numbers. I said it before Pennington with a better arm, weaker personality and less height. This draft was too strong for him to be taken in the top ten.c

I still can't freaking believe that Tebow went ahead of Clauson. What is Denver doing? Seriously... Did they really think they needed to trade up for, Tebow? So stupid..

If the reports out of Buffalo are true then they probably did. I'm hoping the Bills don't get their hands on Clausen. Spiller and Clausen would definitely add some force to their offense... luckily they still can't stop the run to save their lives. Looks like 2 free wins for the Jets this year.
