Curtis Martin... Besides being a instant Hall of Famer, he played through tons of injuries, and quite possibly was one of the classiest guys that ever played the game. Not only is he my favorite Jet he's my all time favorite athlete.
Lance Mehl close 2nds) Mickey Shuler, Al Toon (my 1st jersey), Aaron Glenn, Wayne Chrebet, Curtis Martin, Darrelle Revis. Just because of what he means to the franchise, Joe Willie
Favorite - Klecko Other considerations Namath, Maynard Loved John Riggins the 1 or 2 years we had him W Walker, F McNeil Brad Baxter Kyle Clifton Al Toon
Off the top of my head, my favorites through the years: Joe Namath Wesley Walker Joe Klecko Mark Gastineau Al Toon Mo Lewis Vinny Testeverde Curtis Martin Keyshawn Johnson Wayne Chrebet Chad Pennington (yeah fuckers, eat me) Darrelle Revis
I gotta go with Curtis Martin as my #1. Always gave his all this this team, and was a good guy all the way. #2 is a toss-up between Chrebet and Pennington. You can tell I'm young from my list, but these are the players I've known and loved. Pennington and Chrebet were both class acts all the way, and I loved how they played the game not being the most physically gifted players. I really think Chad got a bum rap from Jets fan, and I'd never been more disappointed in our fan base as when they cheered after he went down with an injury. He came back into that game and led the Jets on a touchdown drive injured, and I'd never wanted to shove anything in our fans face more than that. One of the low points for our franchise, at least since I've been watching. If Revis re-signs with us he'll probably be my #1... corner is my best position and I just love the man to man aspect of it. Football is the ultimate team game, but I love to see Revis just taking people down 1 on 1.
All Time: Namath. In my lifetime: Chrebet. Right now: Sanchez. A little boring, but that's how it is for me.
My all-time favorite Jet is Joe Namath. My Top 3 are: Joe Namath Joe Klecko Darrelle Revis Rex already is my favorite Jets coach.
With a gun to my head..... Joe Klecko. Some of my other all time favorites: Al Toon Lance Mehl Freeman McNeil Curtis Martin Darrelle Revis David Harris
