I've always been a Cotchery fan, and I've become a bigger one over the last few years.

You all said it already, but he's a class act and always says the right things.

id rather keep cotchery and holes instead of braylon and holmes

we are going to have to see if braylon can step it up this season...but cotch is reliable and that is CLUTCH

love this man hopefully we keep him around. since i dont think we will be keeping holmes and edwards beyond this year so cotch should become the no.2 again soon

Off Topic- but ESPN Classic is currently playing NC State vs. Ohio State. Of course, Jericho Cotchery and Philip Rivers are playing.

Check it out right now if you have ESPN Classic

At the beginning of the season, the offense should probably look a lot like it did at the end of last season. However, after Holmes gets back in week 5 I hope to see our offense evolve into this:

That was a hell of a game. If it weren't for working I'd be glued to the TV. I know most everyone hates Rivers, but as an NC State grad., I'm biased. He was fun to watch. Plus I don't remember his being as cocky on the field in college.

Mangold and Nugent are also playing.

And so I don't hijack the thread- JCo is one of my favorite Jets. I was worried about how he would handle the Holmes trade, but he seems to be handling it like a professional- something he has always been since he's been in the league. I think he is one of the most overlooked players on the team (and the NFL for that matter). Many people will look at his numbers last season and say that he had a down year, but that was far from the case (and I know most Jets fans realize that).

EDIT: JCo just forced a fumble on Santonio Holmes

That's true. You NEVER worry about dropped passes with Cotchery. The guy is solid as a rock.

he'll be better this year too.
Braylon was great for us, but I feel like he fucked up the chemistry with Mark, and Cotch.

It'll be in good shape this year.

how I see it is theres no way we tie up that much money at one position.

Cotch will retire a Jet, hes one of the most consistent guys in the league at his position and youll never see him demanding money past his production value.

instead of evaluating Edwards for one more year, were test driving two #1 WR's.

and I actually think this might be Schotty's year to shine. we need Holmes to rotate with Edwards and have Holmes speed/ability to seperate cutting up nickelbacks. and if defenses want to send their #1 or 2 CB in the slot on Holmes we have Cotch/Edwards on the outside to exploit a weaker CB they otherwise wouldnt be facing.

Also having Edwards go over the middle and releasing keller in the flats leaves Safeties with alot to digest if Holmes and Cotchery are on the outside.

I expect alot of rotation, not this 1/2/3 nonsense some people have been spewing.

Also, the acquisition of Holmes opens up our run game even more. thats the scariest thing sledom talked about since the trade.

considering who's on the roster now, and the coaching staff in place, I havent been this excited about a Jets team since Curtis was in his prime.

never thought id say this but if the draft goes well our biggest obstacle will simply be

    -Staying Healthy

although the bandwaggon fans are pouring in claiming we won the SB already, I know Rex is not ignorant enough to have them expecting shit. theres a reason hes one of the best defensive minds of the last decade and only has 1 ring on a team that fielded an all time great defense.

cause championships are literally that hard to come by.

if anything I'd love to see him spin our success into people calling us lucky and expecting us to grow complacent. he'll keep things into perspective and make sure we keep focused on the task at hand.

god I cant wait for the Draft, then Hard Knocks. god damn im amped.
