I'm still shocked that we didn't opt to re-sign Quincy or even anybody sign Quincy after he didn't do all that terrible in his 3 starts. I really liked him and he wouldn't have gotten hurt like Fiedler did last year IMO. At least not that early. Bring back Quincy to the NFL, anywhere.
Carter and good QB should never, ever be mentioned in the same sentence at any time. Anyone who thinks we should sign him or take aflier on him or anything that even resembles bringing him in should have thier head examined. If he can't hack it in Canada, there is no way he'll hack it here... NONE, ZERO, ZIPPO, NADDA!!! Ellis
He's better than Jonathan Quinn. So we can atleast say that we never housed the worst quarterback to play in the NFL.
The guy took a team to the playoffs-i sure as hell dont want him but hes not the worst or one of the worst QBs to ever play
QB is a leadership position. While I'm not going to make any generalizations about cocaine and other illegal drugs I do think that the leaders on your team should be clearly capable of playing by the rules and staying on the field. It's against the rules to use drugs and they take you off the field for that. Ergo I think QB's who do drugs disqualify themselves as leaders and thereby as QB's. Just my opinion.
Anyone remember how many times Quincy was sacked in that first half against the Browns in 2004? It was something ridiculous like 5 or 6 times. Quincy wasn't a very good QB, but he did take the Cowboys to the playoffs in 2003. He wasn't the best player, but he was the QB all year. Had he not had drug problems he would still easily have a job. It shouldn't be suprising to anyone that he was released in the CFL. This guy cleary had and still has problems off the field. Last time I checked exercise and good nutrition were keys to a good NFL player. Not Cocaine.
