No doubting Marshall's talent, but are we that desperate? I wonder what Denver are asking though, not a 1st anymore. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/...os-Marshall-with-birthday-call?urn=nfl,230357
Theres no doubting hes an amazing receiver but I cant see us keeping him braylon and cotch. Maybe a Braylon and a 2nd for him.
This could get interesting. I believed if there was a trade to be done for Marshall, it would come on Draft day, but this certainly leaves the door open for anything to happen between now and then.
Not if Leon is included in a trade and his salary is off the books... Marshall/Edwards/Cotch w/ our running game would be deadly Would you guys do Leon and a 2nd for Marshall? Bare in mind we can always trade down from #29 to acquire more picks
Wow, we are just dropping hints that we are interested. If we somehow were able to land him I don't think it's out of the question that we would be serious contenders to win the SB. I think we are without him but if we somehow get him that's insane. I almost wonder if the Jets would package Leon and a pick for Marshall. Maybe Leon and a 2nd? Maybe Leon, Cotch and a 4th?
What's the use of having 2 slot wrs, trading Edwards and having no deep threat? I'm basing this of course on the fact that some of you have referred to him as a slot WR and nothing more.
I don't want this guy because of all his baggage and the huge contract he's going to demand. Our offense would be sick if he was added for just a pick though.
why cant we have braylon marshall cotch??? its an uncapped year and if braylon cant catch this year....see ya he doesnt get resigned for 2011
for all of the talk of staying the course of the 'ground and pound' philosophy I don't see the obsession with adding to our WR corps. Maybe a capable slot guy - but Marshall really? Why?
NO NO NO leonhard is way to valuable for us!!!Love the player! I am not even sure I even want Marshall...only if it includes Braylon
I think trading Leon and a pick for Marshall gives us a deadly deep passing game w/ alot of options. I'd expect us at that point to add another power back in the draft. A power running game to go along w/ that WR corps and Sanchez's arm could be absolutely lethal.
That was a mistype....there should have been a space between "Leon" and "And". Not to mention..why wouldn't you want Marshall w/ Braylon? Sanchez is a classic throwback style passer who loves to throw downfield....that is the type of corps that suits his play the best.
Sanchez would feel like he was back at USC with all that talent on offense. I don't like Marshalls baggage though.
Faneca, LW and a 6th. Get it done. Jets 1st round pick Iupati Actually I don't think this was anything serious. How was is it even known he called him? Some creepy reporter hiding in the bushes perhaps? I think its just blowing smoke.
I don't get it. I'd take Marshall over Braylon, but having both on the same team? We just don't need that to be a championship team. The money tied up at the WR position would be insane. Is the argument that we'd only have them both for one year, and let Braylon walk in '11? I am more than fine with Braylon, Cotch, and slot receiver to be named later. Don't forget our TE is a receiving TE and a damn good one at that. Adding Marshall after going out of our way to get Braylon makes little sense to me. I prefer line help.
I've been warming up to the idea of having a WR trio of Marshall, Braylon and Cotch...if Braylon has a good year, we can franchise and trade him for a 2011 pick to offset wat we lost in the Cro deal
If we get a 2nd for Leon.. trade the 2nd with Clowney. Keep Cotch. I don't see why we must include Cotchery.. Weren't the Seahawks going to land Marshall for a 1st rounder alone? If we get rid of Cotch for Marshall and a pick.. we will still have the same problem. Who is our 3rd receiver? we don't have one
