Anyone have insider to show this article? http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/feat...go.com/nfl/features/rumors?date=20100319#4346 With Faneca aging along with the large amount of money we save next year if we cut him, this probably will be his last year with us. Grooming a potential replacement this year sounds good to me. What do the GHs and Mr. Es of the world think about this?
if we don't go d.l. in the first i would take this guy, but i don't think he falls to us.would tanny go up to get him?
Iupati falling to us would be ideal....trading up for him...would not be. If Tanny trades up for any player that isn't named Jesus Christ....i'll be pissed. We can't afford to cough up any more picks.
I agree, I don't think they have one position they HAVE to go with in the first round. They probably have a little flexibility depending on how who goes before them. Certainly don't want to give up picks in such a deep draft.
Iupati is a monster and scoring him to keep the offensive line seemless this year would be clutch. I think Faneca wants his ring bad enough that he'd restructure to stay. The brilliant thing about Iupati is he's versatile enough to play RT as well. I personally found Damien Woody to be a very approachable, knowledgable and funny guy when we met last year; his play is also fantastic. Unfortunately, he's also tipping the age scale in the wrong direction. Iupati would offer great back up material for one year before he can boot someone -- Faneca or likely, Woody -- to become the starter. This is the year we need the offensive line youth movement to happen to get the experience behind the starters.
I wholeheartedly disagree. We can and should cough up picks... or trade up as it were. We aren't more than a little experience and a key player or two away from a Superbowl. We traded our draft last year for two key guys and they lived up to expectations when it mattered most. If Tanny sees a guy he likes that we need, he should do whats necessary to get him.
we need depth on the oline, dline, in the secondary, and we need a slot WR. I'm pretty confident in my assumption that we shouldn't be trading away ANY more picks.....I obviously don't control what Tanny does.....but if i could.....the picks would stay RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE....unless we trade down for more picks of course.
i'd rather stay put and take bpa personally.i'm just saying the odds are better that tanny moves up based on track record
I think this year's needs are different than last year. We had big holes we had to fill last year. This year, we need depth and role players. I find it hard to justify trading away picks without having a massive hole for them to fill.
As long as they stay put and take him at 29, then I'd be perfectly happy. There's nothing wrong with getting a big, mauling lineman that can play guard or tackle.
I have heard that Tim Tebow is actually Jesus Christ reincarnated, would you object to Tanny trading up to pick him?
This a good move. It's highly unlikely that he'll make it by Dallas, but you never know what can happen.
Dear Jerry Jones, Taylor Mays is the greatest safety ever to play the game of football. If you draft him, we promise to always pay top dollar for the crappy seats in your new stadium in which we are essentially just watching television with tens of thousands of other people. Sincerely, The City of Dallas
This is the odd draft in which there are very few picks I'd be unhappy with. This, however, I would absolutely love. I doubt he makes it to us, but it would be a huge boost if he did.
Iupati works out for the Jets .......................... Know what I checked to see if this has been posted and used search and nothing came up. :frustrating:
