will be available in the supplemental draft. He is an ideal 3-4 outside linebacker/DE. I think the jets should grab him.

ehh...Ahmad Brooks is so much better. But Brooks is such a jerk that he's a risky pick.

If you use a pick in the supplemental draft, lets say a 3rd rounder, you lose your 3rd round pick for the next draft. Teams usually skip picks till about the 4the round. Most teams never use a pick.

Berryman has alot of talent and the same amount of mental issues to go with it. Mangini won't consider a guy like this.

This is not something that would get televised.

Players in Supplemental Drafts are those who did not enter the regular draft in April because they have some sort of college eligibility issues. They may have thought they were still eligible to play college football later that year and then a few months later they find out they are ineligible. Almost always there is an academic or disciplinary problem and the player cannot go back to college football, so he enters the NFL Supplemental Draft.

In the 2006 Supplemental Draft, the same draft order applies as in the regular April draft. The Jets will be 4th again. They do not have to bid on Jason Berryman or Ahmad Brooks. They can just say to heck with both of them.

For argument's sake, let's suppose the Jets want Brooks. The Jets might decide he's worth a 4th rounder. The Jets would submit a 4th round bid to the commissioner. If no other team places a better bid, the Jets would be awarded Brooks. The Jets would then lose their 2007 4th round selection.

    A couple examples-
RB Tony Hollings was taken by the Houston Texans in the second round of the Supplemental Draft in 2003. In the 2004 NFL Draft, the Texans forfeited a second round pick.

The Jets selected WR Rob Moore from Syracuse in the first round of the 1990 Supplemental Draft. Therefore, the Jets forfeited their 1991 first round draft selection.

This year the Supplemental Draft will probably be conducted on July 13.

Well then, I'll pose this question to you, Cakes. Why didn't Mike Williams enter a year ago? Or was he draft ineligible anyway because he was too young?

(not being a smartass either, but ya seem to know what you're talking about).

He hadn't been three years removed from high school at the time. So he couldn't be in the S-Draft. He sat out a year and was part of the following April draft.

The Boz, nice, I wonder if he ever got Bo Jackson's footprint removed from his chest, Stone Cold was an amazing movie, almost as good as Cool as Ice
