Aker could be used as a gunner on the punting team
or possibly as a wide receiver, he is similar build to steve smith and santana moss....he can catch the ball, tackle, take hits, and is pretty quick

AFL players get paid between 45k (rookies) and the stars get between 500-750k per year
ben graham was just on the radio here saying he signed a 6yr $7mil contract...longest contracts that get signed here are 3-4 years

Aker has the potential to do well. He with either be a star or be a nobody, nothing in between. He does have the pace and the versitility to be a te or a wr, but at his age he has to try now. The probs at the lions stem from the fact they are not winning and this is not common in brisvegas. No one likes a loudmouth when your at the bottom of the ladder. I would love to see him give it a go, no matter what team he tries out for, but he would have to go thru a ben graham style project player regime and i don't see that happening very often.

Aker had a decent game today, as the lions won well against port adelaide. Interesting to see how they go against the dockers

People should never forget that Aker took a lot less money to stay at Brisbane. Brisbane let him take on a media contract to bump up his pay packet to keep him in line with what he could earn at another club.. Of course he has to be controversial so his media deal stays a float.

Have you ever read Collingwood Captain, Nathan Buckly's articles? They're as boring as watching grass grow.

I'll never forget when the 2002 Grand final needed someone to step up and win the game for Brisbane in the dying minutes....it was aker that stood up,even though his groin was shot to hell.
