Yes. We decided that if someone does not pick in the 6 hour mark we will push his pick back until he arrives, correct? Edit: You're up. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=157090&postcount=100
After ganooch picks JV will be on the clock for 2 more hours http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=157409&postcount=113
Great pick by MSU. I targeted Seau for my last 4 picks and I kept taking the chance that people would forget about him and he'd fall...
about one of my draft picks- I have NFL Films' Inside The Vault Vol. 1-3: 1960-1970 three disc set. I hadn't watched it in a couple years. I knew there was a weird comment from "Tombstone" Jackson on the 2nd disc. So, I watched it yesterday. Steve Sabol was talking about how NFL Films (they also had a subdivision called AFL Films) was allowed to film some teams' practices. He said the Broncos were very cooperative. Then he mentioned how Rich "Tombstone" Jackson is the best player not in the Hall of Fame, which is a sentiment shared by Paul Zimmerman, I might add. Four Broncos defenders were standing around and talking about the upcoming opponent, which happened to be the Jets. It was obviously a rehearsed strategy session. One linemen said to Jackson, "I think you can handle that guy." Talking about Joe Namath, Jackson replied, "Yeah, I think so. I been checking him out in the film and he has a leg problem, foot problem, and I figure if I can get him going to the outside and hook him and come under, I think that we can present some problems because everything that we do come Sunday gonna depend on the outcome of the ballgame." Steve Sabol then said, "I'm still not quite sure what Tombstone was talking about here, so we never used any of the stuff." That disc also had a nice look at the AFL stadiums, such as Jeppesen Stadium, Balboa Stadium, and Frank Youell Field. AFL historian Woodrow Paige was interviewed for the footage of the then 25,000 seat Mile High Stadium. The best stuff was on Buffalo's War Memorial Stadium. That was the scariest pro football stadium ever. Dave Grayson, a Chiefs defensive back, said he wouldn't take showers there even after getting dirty and muddy. Jim Otto said that in November the shower spigots had icicles hanging from them. The opposing players would not take their helmets off because fans would throw full beverage containers at them. Just look at old pictures of that stadium. It was brutal. (Kezar Stadium was another scary one for opposing players. The 49ers played there before they moved to Candlestick Park.)
Alright, sorry for slowing this down. I was out and didn't have computer access regardless because my internet was down yesterday, and a bit the night before. I used a friends computer, but resolved my internet problem so all my picks will now be on time.
So are we doing kickers and punters? How about returners? Also, are we going to do a full dpeth chart, or are we drafting just the starting 22?
Donnie, unfortunately it looks like you will have to select a different player because Buoniconti played MLB and you already have one.
I'm sorry guys I had no clue about Buoniconti... I saw him listed as a "linebacker" and I figured he'd fit as an OLB.
Yes, we are drafting kickers and punters. Don't be surprised if I take one soon. 24 players- 11 offense, 11 defense, a kicker and punter.
***Would you guys like to do a season with the teams we created? It would be 10 weeks long. I will make a schedule, and we'll post polls for people to vote in. The Top 4 teams would go to the playoffs. Then we would have a championship game. Let me know what you think. I'm trying to make the most out of this. It could go right up until the start of the NFL Season...
