Now thats a knee slapper, when I first read the thread title I thought someone was making a joke, especially with all the criticism of the "Sign (Insert name of a nobody player and or someone completely unobtainable here)" threads.
That's not exactly an accomplishment right now. Seriously, though, you're fucking hilarious. Do you do birthday parties?
I am not sure who to sign but someone please tell me we are not going into the season with Clemens as the # 2, please give me hope.
you can hope someone offers something for him.otherwise he's the #2.so just like everyother team in the league we will pray nothing happens to the starter.
holy fuck...i can't believe this thread made it to 3 pages..... the offseason "dumbfuckery" continues.
I can't either and I'm the asshole that started the thread. But, I still say Sorgi would make a better back-up for us than 80% of the clipboard holders in the league.
WTF?!....have you seen Sorgi play?! If I wanted QB incompetence, I'd want to retain Clemens...at least he knows the system (sort of)....to hell with Jim Sorgi.
GREAT post by our boy DON. Calling out other members for not knowing the rules when you actually got them wrong to begin with. Great stuff! Classic!
The colts should have released Painter instead. Then this thread would be worth it.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
One time, I was lucky enough to attend a Jets function with a few players. It was around 2003 and my uncle's company had two passes which they gave to him and he decided to take me along. The whole time I was nervous and giddy as hell, trying really hard not to turn into THAT fan(no easy task considering I was only 17). Most of the players were the typical "charity circuit" guys, no names like Kenyatta Wright, Brent Smith, Derek Pagel, but the highlight of the night was Vinny T. I was so excited to meet him and I finally got my chance at the buffet of all places. I tried to remain calm, told him that I was a big fan, asked him about what it was like being a NCAA Champion, Heisman Trophy winner, #1 overall pick...etc. He was nice, seemed genuinely happy to be talking to a fan of his, even obliged to sign an autograph. He even did not mind when I asked him to pass me one of the deviled eggs from the back of the table(I was still pretty short at the time, hitting my final growth spurt in college). Unfortunately, right before I could reach it, it got fucking INTERCEPTED by Ty Law.
Classic! I always liked Vinny. The guy had a cannon for an arm! Too bad he was slow as molasses. Every time he dropped back to pass I would cringe until he released the ball. Toward the end of his career, it was possible to sack him on a handoff.
I hope you realize that sorgi was hurt and painter was the #3. Sorgi has done well in the past when the colts needed him to step up. My concern would really be if he is still hurt.
Aside from the '98 season, Vinny was a massive headache. I remember hearing about the blue billboard that a Tampa radio station put up with "Vinny thinks this is orange" scrawled over it after a particularly bad game against the Giants and how much sense that made. Who knows what his career would have been if he had not have torn his achilles in '99 but it is what it is. After '98 I was pretty much cringing until I saw the receiver make the catch.
Wow thank god "One time" wasn't followed by the words: at band camp........... lol I would have stopped right there.
