I don't think Ramsey makes it thru the pre-season healthy. He gets sacked by an end coming around Adrian Jones on the right side and goes down with a season ending shoulder injury. Brooks Bollinger starts the season.

Like most of us have said, mangini has no love connection with penny, he will put the best possible QB out there, and penny with 2 surgeries is highly doubtful, its either clemens or ramsey.

Ramsey is the QB who knows the defenses alot better than clemens, has started games in the NFL, and has a cannon for an arm, its an obvious choice, unless clemens shows he is the man.

That may be true, but he's may be right with Ramsey starting opening day. Either Pennington won't be ready, or Ramsey could impress in training camp and preseason. It's possible.

I'll sit back and relax. I see no reason to worry about this because Chad is no longer the teacher's pet and if he is to start on Week 1, we could all rest assure this is because he beat out the rest of the QB's for the job and left Mangini impressed.

    No?

How many fan suicides do you think that would be responsible for?

One thing about QB compitions, or any TC battle, is that the better player is weeded out.

A lot of people wanted to just GIVE the spot to Simms (and right now to our young MLB Ruud). And while I would've loved for them to both have been the team starters opening day last year, I don't think it should be given. It's only right when it's earned. And I feel more comfortable knowing they beat out someone else too.

Whoever starts is the one best seen fit to lead.

Well said. If Chad wins the job, its because he's healthy.

Only one name comes to mind......bit that name will probably be changed if Brooks makes the team or shows well in TC.

If I didn't kill myself when Vinnie blew out his achillies in '99, I could make it through another season of Bolly! I actually like the guy, but I don't want him as our starter.

i think all 45,000 or so in the two upper tiers at the meadowlands would all jump at the same time.

With the new o-line, the QB's will have more protection as will the running backs. Man if only we got Runyan!

But that extra time will help no matter who is playing QB. I hope McCareins or Cotchery or some rookie can step up and complement Coles like Moss used to. That would reduce double teams on Coles and open the offense even more.

I'm rooting for Chad but I won't be dissapointed if Ramsey starts. He caught a raw deal in Washington and could turn it around here.

Sweet avatar. Flash Gordon is one of my favorite movies!

Brooks wont be on the team unless Chad goes on the IR.
