Kevin Curtis would be a decent signing IMO

I wouldn't mind Higgins and Barnes.

Barnes knows the system and can be an actual backup OLB. Because the Jets don't have those.

Higgins is a return guy and might actually become a slot dude the Jets could use. He's fucking fast, and has better route running skills than Clowney. Don't agree? Then why does Clowney sit? hmmmmmm

This is an intriguing option and could potentially be a nice (somewhat proven) weapon for Sanchez.

One of the great mysteries of the past 2 years is what David Clowney did to convince people he's actually a good player.

Barnes or Prescott Burgess (also a possible cut) would be great for us...it'd stop the whole draft yet another guy to convert to OLB...a good thing because people will once again get their hopes up that the guy will start and succeed instantly...then complain about how the organization didn't learn a thing from Gholston when new draftee doesn't do that. Barnes can rush the passer in nickel packages...

There's got to be a DB or two that is a cut candidate but I can't think of any. I've heard of Rolle, which would be awesome. Who else after that?

You don't take criticism well at all. That's why you have trouble here at TGG. No one wants to talk with someone who has to be right all the time. Take a second to breath, relax, and get over it. This thread had some major potential but you pretty much shit all over it with your mindless rants on its poor title and its proper forum placement.

I wouldn't mind taking a look at Barnes ( familiar with Rex) Higgins ( useful in ST and possible Slot) and Bennett ( probably wont be cut, but a huge upgrade over our backups at this point)

Im curious though who really is going to be on the chopping block. There always are a few surprises out there...

I questioned some of your picks. You want to get your balls in a bunch over that then so be it. I wanted to see some analysis behind your list, not a list just for the sake of writing a list.

I can do that. I'm thinking I took out some of my Mr. E annoyance on you for no reason.

If you want me to do it for everyone, then sure.

Barnes/Burgess/McClain might get cut because the Ravens drafted/signed two more DE/OLBs in last years draft to develop. They like the depth, but someone's got to go from their large group of talented guys.

Topou - Eagles have a whole lot of OL, and their starters are pretty young.

Davis - SD is loaded at WR and he might be the odd man out.

Montgomery/Golston - Redskins blew their wad on Haynesworth, and might have no need for one of those two. Two gap candidates...Same for Stephen Bowen, a Cowboys rotation DE.

I hope the Rams cut Carriker....

    Possible Cuts

Since we need major secondary help.

Here is a few guys that might get cut?

Nate Clements- Sign for a billion $ a few years ago, I don't know what he stand to make for this upcoming year but it bears watching.

Antrel Rolle- Former CB turn safety is due a lot of money next year if he doesn't restructure he will get cut.

Is there a website that list top salary for each palyer in thier respective position?

He caught bombs in the preseason OMG OMG OMG OMG.

I like the Higgins idea. He might even come relatively cheaply, too, since he hasn't been able to showcase anything given the QB situation in Oakland.

As far as other corners, I'm not sure. I don't know how Domonique Foxworth's contract was structured as far as bonus money due, but he's reportedly on poor terms in Baltimore. It's unlikely for him to have a roster bonus due in the 2nd year of a contract, but it's possible. I also don't know if I'd want him after this past season.

Well it helps him that a player is never as bad as he may be commonly thought nor as good. He's probably got something in the tank, especially if it were Rex that picked him up for the year. Doubt it's as a starter, but he'd be a good guy for Gholston to learn from too...

I don't know how a free agent bust would be a good person for Gholston to learn from. How would that conversation go

Thomas: Hey kid, your team has high expectations for you. They show this by giving you a lot of money
    Gholston: right
Thomas: Then you sike them out by showing how you really suck and taking all of their money. Now lets go buy a diamond football

This^ is why this thread wasn't the best idea (or wasn't presented the best way).

It's just speculation on players who might get cut and the Jets may be interested in.

unless there is any credible evidence that any of these players are going to be cut, this thread is completely asinine. it's possible Ray Lewis may be cut even though I have no argument or proof that he will, but if he is I say we sign him. this is an appropriate post for this thread, and this post is f'ing dumb as dog shit.
