You all saw Eli. Happy as hell that his big brother was lighting up the Jets in the second half. You have to wonder just what was making him THAT happy. How much was watching the Jets get hammered had to do with his joyous reaction? Blood is thicker than area allegiance evidently so given how Eli threw the Jets, and by extension NY, under the proverbial bus, what's you opinion of Eli's reaction now and will you root against the Giants no matter what because of it??? Personally, I'll never root for the Giants again and I don't care who they're playing against or what they're playing for. I used to be a NY football team guy but not anymore. I'm a believer in karma so I'll keep my wishes to myself..
Come on man! It was Eli's brother playing. He has no allegiance to the Jets over his own brother. I have no problem with it at all.
Eli really pissed me off. I rooted for him during the Giants playoff run -- as I did for Peyton a year earlier -- but he really rubbed me the wrong way. He better be careful with public appearances because if he goes to general NY area events, the Jets fans are going to rip him apart verbally. Alot of Jet fans I spoke to saw him celebrating and are really teed off at EM.
He was rooting for his brother and his team was out of the playoffs. Jets fans, for the most part, shouldn't give a fuck about who he roots for.
I could care-a-less what Elisa Manning thought... As far as I'm concerned the Giants are my LEAST favorite team in the NFL. The best part about making the playoffs was watching them falter, Elisha is not a leader and when a Giants team loses it's leaders (Strahan, Pierce) it loses it's way.. And Jacobs might be the worst starting RB in the league.
Archie has already come out and said he is 100% rooting for his son - I don't see the big deal there either, despite his iconic status in New Orleans.
Oh no...what's he gonna do when Peyton has to play New Orleans? That's his dad' old team... Really, this is a goofy thread. And I'm sick just thinking about all the coverage the media is gonna give the Manning/New Orleans connection. I guess it's easier than actually having to talk intelligently about the game of football.
Cmon.. Its a opinion thread for chrissakes and alot of folks have one about this. Lighten up man. Our season is over and if you think this thread is bad, we haven't gotten to the real offseason stuff yet. Just wait for the draft threads to start.
Yea after I saw that and how we all backed the Giants during their run, all I can say is screw the Giants. Good riddance.
You rooted for the Giants? I live in Manhattan and hate Giants fans so much I rooted for the goddamn Pats to win in 2007. Yup, I went there.
Yeah, pretty shitty of me. I really hate the Giants and their knowledge-less, fair-weather, douchebag fans that much.
