Hopefully not. He hesitates too much and doesn't hit the holes hard. In addition, he trips himself and never breaks tackles.
Nope. We need to draft a RB too. Maybe later round. Shonn Green and Washington are nice, but Green is 25 and Wash is 29. Need another...
During the season he had some really great games, but in the playoffs he hasn't really done much. I just think that he's probably too old now to do season + playoffs.
guys, lets not take away from TJ. He's not an explosive back, but with LW an unknown and Greene being injury prone. I hope we bring TJ back, he had a great year for us.
if he is no way he plays. SG got most of the carries until he got hurt. We need to draft another RB late in the draft to compliment SG & LW, and dump that worthless POS Jones. I was a big Jones fan in the beginning of the year, but after seeing SG, its clear that Jones is so mediocre. Falls forward for 3 yards, "breaks" runs for 7 or 8 yards occasionally. If we are going to remain a power running team, we cant have TJ in there.
I'll pass...thank you. If the Jets want a running back who is only as good as the holes his O-Line creates, the Jets can sign me to play for free and use the money they'll save on hiring more cheerleaders....preferably some Brazilians.
THomas Jones is a an average back who has benefitted in NY from running behind an above average run blocking line. Leon and Shonn Greene will take us to the promised land.
TJ is under contract and we are not allowed to sign any free agents. He may not start but I don't see how he isn't wearing a Jet uniform next year.
I wanted to say no, but just figure most of the cash available will be geared towards the D. I would like to see the 1-2 combo be Greene and Washington. Jones will be the spot/breather guy.
We are allowed to sign FAs, we just have to let some go...Clemens is definitely gone and there are more. With no salary cap he could be cut.
