I could never watch a playoff game after knowing it was over. You should have just canceled your flight and changed it. I can't imagine how terrible I'd feel if that was me. But then again I would never put myself in that situation.
Well do the very opposite to her. Record a lottery drawing on TV. Go out and buy the lottery next day with the winning numbers of the previous drawing, and give that to her as a gift. Put in the recording on TV and tell her the drawing's getting ready to come up. It'll be awesome as she sees each number match the ones on the lottery ticket, believing that she had just won $130 million dollars.

I normally don't but we needed to feed the kids (and my son wanted to watch), so we paused at halftime, ate and just skipped through commercials in the second half. This week will be live.

your wife should have never tried giving you the phone.my wife would have never tried giving me the phone. she is very understanding of my psychotic behavior towards my team. if we have conflict of interests i tivo the game and do the family thing first. then my wife will be like a mother to its cub and protect me from all scores, familly members and jerkoffs trying to ruin it for me.
It took a long time to get over that nightmare, without any personal drama. That would seal the deal on that relationship..........
