My wife is from Queens, so... not too bad. :beer: I can't help but respect the way the Jets have played when they got the opportunity. Reminds me of the '01 Pats in lots of ways.

thats what this team is reminding me of too. i hated the pats that year because they never looked overly impressive, but they always found a way to win in the end. this team is the same way, it might not be pretty but they figure out how to get the job done when it matters most.
I've been thinking this myself lately, although it makes me feel dirty. The 01 Pats were an opportunistic defense that got to the QB and turned the ball over, with a young and inexperienced QB who was able to manage games and make clutch plays when they needed to. Plus, they won a lot of close games, were underdogs in most if not all of them in the postseason, and had the ball bounce their way more than a few times.
Another Pats fan here. Good luck to you guys this week. I know we all hate eachothers teams normally, but your defense is playing lights out. Its so ironic, it seems like the Colts created this giant green monster..that was a huge confidence booster for your team, I dont give a shit if it was their 2nd string, it;s still the Colts, now your team knows they can find a way to beat anyone. Nothing and I mean nothing would be make happier than a Colts ass whipping. Agreed with the 01 Pats comment, also a bit of 07 Giants there to I think. Good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks for the good thoughts. Prior to Belichick I'd have pulled for the patsies to represent the AFCE, maybe one day that'll be the case again. As for this 2001 patsies talk, I think of this team more like the 1990 Giants. I certainly never expected that team to keep winning and they did it by running the ball and playing some defense.
You guys would be shocked to see how many Pats fans are rooting for the Jets...It's scary. I think it's a matter of our absolute HATE for the Colts, and the football your team is playing is really fun to watch. I miss that smash mouth style defense, our D has been mediocre for years now and it drives me mad. This was the worst Pats Defensive year I have seen in a verry long time. Not too mention the fact that the commitment to the RB's you have on that team, they get it done. It is what it is, Defense wins championships. PERIOD. Enjoy it, both our teams have been through some ugly times and we stuck with em. Every dog has it's day. Going to be nice to have a competitive AFC east again with you guys next year. :beer: :manning:
