Wasn't thinking that at all. Flacco, Rivers and Sanchez, guess wich one of those QBs worries me the least...
I don't think, at this point, that the Jets should be scared of anyone. However, the Colts are a great team, a recent champion, and they need to be properly respected. I don't think the Jets have had any problems with that recently. The game is winnable given good execution. The Jets have a smaller margin for error.
To be honest, that Super Bowl was pretty anti-climactic after the AFCCG against the Pasts (Yes... the Pasts) Heh, me neither. No offense Jets fans, but I'd rather face a rookie QB over Rivers any day. The Chargers plainly got caught napping today. Don't expect that come 1/24/2010 3PM.
I'd imagine after the game, Rivers wouldn't worry you at all. You don't have to see either one until next season. As far as Sanchez, there's a reason why the coaching staff has limited his passing plays. They started to rely on him after his hot start in the first 3 games, and it took time to adjust, especially as his confidence suffered. He's playing much better now, has regained his confidence, and has a dominant rushing attack to take the pressure off even more. We'll likely run the ball 30 times in the game, as we've done for the past 2 months, and continue to pound the ball even if you take a lead. I thought the Ravens, down or not, went away from the run much too early. Part of that had to do with the lack of offensive plays in the 3rd quarter, but 4 carries in the entire 2nd half is just unacceptable for a run-first team. We run, and if you stop it, we run some more. If we get down by a TD or two, we keep running it. As you saw tonight, we eventually get our point across.
Why would anyone be offended that you'd rather face Sanchez than Rivers? The latter is clearly the better QB at this point. It's not even close. However, QB play isn't what you should be worried about this week.
I'm a nice guy. What can I say? I'm not too concerned with your running game either. Ray Rice and Willis McGahee were supposed to run all over us. Their whole team combined for a whopping 87 yds on the ground. The only thing I am concerned with is Peyton gettin greedy and throwing stupid picks and gift wrapping great field position for your offense.
