copy and paste that into the browser, then depending on what browser you use, something will come up, select "launch application" or whatever variation of that comes up. It is a Windows Media Player file of Brad Smith

Coles was supposed to be soooo fast. Stopwatch fast/ Gym shorts fast. I never saw it with pads on. What i read about smith is that he is fast with the pads on.

i also believe he needs someone to take pressure off him if he is going to be the deep threat we once thought he was.

with our qb situation what it was last yr and mccareins playing like garbage, coles was a non factor. moreso it looked like him and moss just swapped lives this yr.

i think smith will factor into coles game actually, if smith can crack the lineup this yr(im sure he will)

Brad Smith was the best steal of the Draft

Been watching this guy. He played at Mizzou. Mizzou is a Big Twelve school. Meaning, Brad played teams that have national programs every year. Teams like Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Kansas State, Colorado, and recent contenders like Kansas U., Texas Tech, and Iowa State. Anyway, Mizzou had only one real offensive threat... Brad Smith throwing the ball, or Brad Smith running the ball. So, EVERY team keyed on getting to Brad. Long story short (too late I know), Mizzou made it to a bowl and won. If you consider all the mountains he had to climb to compete (which should always be considered) he should've gone in the first round.
Alas, pro-Ball transition is never a for sure event. And, even though I believe that Brad has the work ethic necessary to succeed, he only has the potential of Reggie and Vince.

This guy can turn a WR screen into a TD at any time. That's the playmaking potential we needed.

Wow - you guys are getting me all excited about a guy who will have 20 catches all year! I hope you are all correct because we could really use a playmaker.

Just remember that wide receivers normally take 3 years to develop. So we can't get on this guy based on just this year.

If this guy ever develops into a decent slot receiver, I'll be pleasantly surprised. But I don't get my hopes up for experiments. They blow up more often than they succeed.

He's not going to be anywhere near a good wr until he decides to put his old position behind him and focus on helping us at the position the coaches want him to play.

Everyone should keep there expectations low for the time being. Sure he is an athlete and being an althetic qb can help him make the transition. But not only is he raw but deep down he knows that he doesn't want to play wr. That mental block will only slow down his development. Once or If he gets over that he might have a chance at being a decent wr.

    Brad is multitalented.

The object with Brad should be to teach him the system and position.. agreed. But, the idea of a "mental block" as far as Brad is concerned, would be a mistake. Get him to a diluted area of the field with the ball and he will succeed. Also, if QBs start going down because of lack of protection and the crisis exists, I can think of no other player that can keep a team competitive at the QB position as Brad can. So, considering him as a 3,4,5th string QB "IN THE FUTURE" (2-3 years minimum) would not be a bad idea. Also, he has been running out of the backfield for most of his life, so using him as a back is possible. And, he has been using the pitch in the Big 12 on a pitching team, so using him as a catch and pitch player is very possible.
Although Brad does have some hurtles to jump in order to play pro. The attitude of confining him to a permanent WR mold would be a mistake. Team from talent then talent for the team.

Being a vertical threat is not going to be Smith's claim to fame. He is most dangerous in the open field with the ball in his hands. Expect to see him catch a lot of hitches, WR screens, shallow crossing routes...etc. Quick 3 to 5 steps drop passing plays that gets the ball in his hands early so he can do his thing.
