I would've agreed with you on that a month ago. But the dude has been lights out the past few weeks. He's on good terms with his coaches and the guy is ballin. I'll forgive him this time. He obviously cares about the perception of his team and their defense and that is a sign of someone who geniunely gives a fk.
yeah he has stepped it up. ego aside I love seeing statements like this where you get some insight to whats going on in the locker room.

Stepped it up? You haven't seen the cement shoes he's been wearing? I re-watched the Cincy game last night and that he couldn't get Benson on that long run was an absolute disgrace. I wonder if he had just put down his magazine and looked up to see Benson running by. Getting chased and tackled by Brian Leonard, a fullback? Lights out? Hardly.
I'll agree with this. A handful of interceptions and tackles for losses won't make up for his lack of closing speed and vision. He just never seems to be anywhere near the ball.
Kerry, just shut up and blanket Gates all day, that's all I ask. If we get to the SB I'm sure karako suits will give you another cheesy commercial.
And when he is near the ball, and he somehow makes a play, you can bring it to the bank that he'll try and come up with one of his signature dance moves to finish.... Maybe he's too busy thinking about how Revis and his Island stole Rhodes' spotlight.
anything to get him focused on football. he's at his best when he does film study and focuses. tweaking him in general seems to bring out his best.
Well, at least he isn't all pissed because his tailor put a stain in his gameday threads or something. Kerry has improved, but he is the furthest thing from lights out.
I think this suggests that perhaps the Jets are filtering what the players get to read, because there's a lot of positive stuff out there.
I have seen an improvment in play from him..and his potential/overall talent is obvious. However...somehow he lost like 95% of his closing speed. He just seems really slow on his feet..
Kerry Rhodes and the rest of the Jets have internet access. I don't think anyone can filter what they read
