That's right. We'll both have to agree he did a disservice to the award when he won it.

Eh, who didn't see this coming? Revis obviously deserved it but I see multiple DPOY's in this 24 year old's future.

Revis had a good season he will have plenty of time to flat out own this award. People over looked him at the begining of the year. Woodson scored more tds and I guess that is more glamorous. Is it better than what Revis did this year who knows. I guess the sports writers who vote for this award did. It is scary when you think about how good Revis can be. If he improves every season just think how sick he will be in 2 or 3 more years. They can have the awards I think we are all happy to have our Revis.

I don't know that Revis will win it anytime soon. Phenonenal player, but the award is slanted towards other positions.

Bailey had an absolutely ridiculous 2006 season and still came in 2nd.

I understand that this is a regular season award, but had the voting continued into Sunday Revis would have won hands down. Woodson and the GB defense got lit up by Arizona meanwhile Revis does what he always does...eliminates wide receivers from participating in the game.

I'm in the middle of listening to Rex's presser and he is legitimately angry about this. You wouldn't like Rex when he's angry.

Why are yall bringing up a playoff game? the award is for the regualr season

Revis never faced Fitz, Fitz is the best WR in the game HANDS down. Cwood actually held his own againist him. His yards and catches were down. On his touchdowns Flitz made a great catch and Cwood fell down on the other one

Ask the Raider fans abt Asomugha last year when Ware won it

Fact is Revis is a better DB and CWood is a better Playmaker

You're entitled to your opinion of Fitz being the best receiver in the game but the fact that you say "HANDS DOWN" tells me you're either being dramatic to try and make your point or just ignorant about a couple of other guys that are surely in that discussion.

    What a joke. Revis

-Was the best defensive back by a mile on the #1 pass defense in the NFL
-Shut down 9 former probowl wide receivers this year, holding all of them under 35 yards, and doing that to three of them twice. In 11/16 games this year, Revis was matched up with a former probowl WR, and held them all under 35 yards, only allowing 1 TD.
    -Woodson against top WRs:

    Hester: 4 catches, 90 yards, 1 TD
    Ochocinco: 4 catches, 91 yards, 1 TD
    Rice: 5 catches, 70 yards, 1 TD
Rice again: 4 catches, 40 yards
Roy Williams: 5 catches, 105 yards, 1 TD
    Crabtree: 4 catches, 77 yards, 1 TD
Calvin Johnson: 2 catches, 10 yards, 1 TD
    Mason: 2 catches, 13 yards
Hines Ward: 7 catches, 126 yards
    Houshmanzadeh: 4 catches, 51 yards
    Fitzgerald 3 catches, 17 yards

    - In 9 of Woodson's games, he got to play against Cutler twice, Boller, Culpepper/Stanton, D. Anderson, Freeman, A. Smith, Stafford, Hasselbeck, and Leinart. And people are surprised he has so many INTS.

There's no way Revis wasn't robbed.

This completely surprised me; from that same Tim Graham article.

    Lowest Burn Percentage Among CBs
    Player/Team Percentage
    Darrelle Revis, Jets 37.0
    Jabari Greer, Saints 37.9
    Dwight Lowery, Jets 40.7
    Drayton Florence, Bills 45.3
    Leon Hall, Bengals 45.3
    Lito Sheppard, Jets 45.6

hey, let's look at the bright side. there is no way vincent jackson does anything this weekend. in fact, the entire jets defense will be offended and play to prove the voters wrong.

Revis is no doubt the best corner in all of football but when people vote for DPOY they look at the big plays which is why it will be tough for Revis to win it. Thats why Allen early in the year when he was going sack crazy people were looking at him for DPOY. Revis is a quiet game changer not the turnover machine in your face kind of player Woodson is.

Next year hopefully Revis will have more like 8 int and 2 or 3 pick 6 like he should have this year. As godly as he is and as much as I love him there is room for improvement. I guarantee if he caught that falcons int, 1 more against the panthers cus he dropped 2, and 1 more early in the year he would have won it. The guy had 4 int in 3 games late in the year. Besides Im sure Revis cares more about winning in the playoffs then going 1 and done and having DPOY like woodson.

I heard on the first offensive play for the Chargers on Sunday, Rex is going to leave Revis on the field by himself on a CB Blitz. Of course the play will result in a strip sack TD for the Jets. :)

I watch all the Packer games and all the Jets games. Honestly both players highly deserve it. Woodson gets the flashy stats and is also a shutdown corner. However he never was and never will be the shutdown corner Revis is. (and only getting better)

It's fucking robbery and now all my fellow Wisconsin friends are gonna be up my ass about Woodson beating Revis, all delusional thinking Woodson is better.

    Fucking BS

I'd rather have Revis give up this DPOY for a MVP of the Super Bowl...I think he'd like that more

I can't remember who said it, but Revis is the best cover corner in the game, and Woodson is the best complete corner in the game. Can't really fault the voters for picking him - he had a hell of a year.

    :shit:
