Mike Francesa is criticizing what he does all the time. Mushnik talks about the 1 bowl game he got wrong, meanwhile Francesa got 7 out of 8 bowl games correct. Good point, I agree. But Francesa, what about the Jets? The Jets have won what? 6 of 7? And what do you do? Focus on the one loss to the Falcons. Thats all you were talking about on the show for the last month ever since we beat the Colts. You said all the other games meant nothing because they were against bad teams or the game wasn't real.
How the fuck is a game not real if the starters were out there for even a decent amount of the game? This is my argument: FOR THE TIME THE STARTERS (offense, at least) WERE IN THE GAME, THEY COULD HAVE PUT UP MORE POINTS THEN THEY DID (if they were that good, example, the Colts). And WHY WOULD YOU PUT YOUR STARTERS INTO THE GAME TO JUST "STAND THERE" AND DO NOTHING, IT'S A WASTE, ISN'T IT?" It's so hard to emphasize this point, capitals were necessary.

There's no reason to complain about the last 2 games of the regular season. I don't care if we had to beat CFL teams to get into the playoffs; bottom line, we won the games, got some help, and made the playoffs. Now that we've PROVEN we belong by beating Cincy in relatively impressive fashion Saturday, it's on to San Diego. Can we beat them? Sure. Tomlinson or Sproles haven't gone over 100 yards rushing all season, and the only thing the Bengals did against us was run. Granted, Pip is a better QB than Carson, and has a lot more weapons to throw to, but it's not out of the realm of possibility to think we have a chance. You never know. And finally about Francesa; he's a Giants fan, and it's his job to stir the pot. Don't get too caught up in it.

I like Mike, he riles up us Jet fans, but he does it for the ratings. I just heard him say he'd by a Jet fan, whose a Vietnam Vet tickets to the super bowl if the jets make it this year, or in the future. The vet was in the bush or something and didn't here about the Jets superbowl victory until a week after it happened. Gotta respect that.
