Yup, Revis blitzed for the first and only time this season on the last Cinci drive!

San Diego does not have 2 true #1 wide receivers. If you're looking for a team with 2 #1s, think of the second New England game (Welker didn't play in the first.)

We're going to have a tough time covering receivers other than whoever Revis covers. They have a lot of weapons and will score points on us no matter what. This isn't going to be a shutout. We need to get some turnovers (by pressuring Rivers to get rid of the ball early) and perform offensively as we have for the past 2 games to have a chance. As much as I'd like to wear my green goggles on this one, I wouldn't pick the Jets to win. I hope they do though.

I have no idea how we're going to cover the giant receivers. Gates, Floyd, and Jackson.

They did that against Tennessee and Jacksonville. Both teams had some decent success throwing to whoever Revis wasn't covering. It's going to take a hell of an effort to hold down their receiving corps. Our best chance is to play good red zone defense and eat up the clock on offense. They'll be able to move it through the air.

Vincent Jackson is a big boy, Randy Moss is almost as big-

I think they should stick Revis on VJ and erase his stats from the game.

They most likely will too, Revis gains a huge advantage from being able to study one receiver all week, just eat, breathe, and shit VJ.

Who's going to cover Gates? can't put Revis on a TE, I hope the Jets linebackers can keep him in tacked...

I think that we'll see the Jets use a little more zone than they normally do in order to keep Gates from getting loose for a big play.

Champ Bailey was often used against Gates.

Why not? Gates is basically a WR. He doesn't do much blocking.

Because the Jets may be able schematically neutralize Gates due to his lack of pure speed, while Vince Jackson will burn them deep all day if he's matched up against Shepphard or Lowery. Revis needs to be covering Jackson if the Jets are gonna neutralize the Chargers offense.

In no way is Welker a number 1 reciever. He's very good, but no part of his game says #1 guy.

    if 120 catches doesn't say #1, i don't know what does.

There may be some technical argument about what constitutes a number 1 receiver but Tom Brady knows on every play exactly where Wes Welker is even more than Moss. If Welker takes a dump, Brady is reaching for the TP.

i must have missed it during the game.....i remember rex saying revis has never blitzed and is never going to blitz.

i'd like to see revis blitz from the blind side one time when the receiver is lined up close to the ball.

web master: can we get a Revis Christ smiles face icon?
