If/When the Jets get the new stadium should it be with or without a roof?
Here in Cleveland, they are debating to add a roof to the Cleveland Browns Stadium. I hate the idea. To me, football is supposed to be smashmouth and physical. Once you add a roof, you become a finesse team IMHO. Thats not what football should be about. Your thoughts............

I don't like indoor football. I can't believe the Browns would consider such a thing.

Thankfully, the Golden Gophers and Vikings are going back outdoors soon.

Roofs are for Arena Football. Let's keep them off NFL stadiums.

i like what they have in Seattle. If I am not mistaken the seats are covered but the field is not. That would be good. No dome though!!!!!!!

Only 1 dome team has ever won a Super Bowl, so this is pretty accurate.

Dome's are a disgrace to the game. The best games are played outdoors in the extremes of weather... There's nothing like watching a cold snow game at Lambeau Field around December.

I'm glad to hear Minnesota is going outdoors as well... That's one damn cold place.

I thought the Vikes were building another dome stadium...I didn't know they were going outdoors??? It's probably good that they got rid of Culpepper if they are going to be playing outdoors then

dome/roofs= another way to increase ticket prices and for corporate giants to become richer! so many comp tickets will be given away to casual fans and that sucks for real fans!

The Golden Gophers are definitely going back outdoors in 2009. Last I heard the Vikings would be entering a new stadium in 2011 and I was under the impression it would be an outdoor venue.

It looks like a dome from the Arch drawings

Ive been in two domes one was the Diamondbacks stadium and the Rams stadium . It actually makes it louder in the stadium and the weather is controlled which is nice on those days the football gods give some ridiculous weather . But Id say a retractable roof would be good and they can still open it when ever they want rain snow heat cold . ya know

    Pansies.

Could be a retractable roof, too.
I'll have to look at the Vikings website. Maybe something will be there.

That is what they should do. Leave the roof open for football and close it for conventions and basketball tournaments and what not.
