Ok, I was looking at the SportsNation polling on the Jet's Bengals game and it came up with a surprisingly large (in my opinion) edge for the Bengals. 55% of the people polled nationwide believe that the Bengals will beat the Jets. Then I looked at Nevada and it's the polar opposite. 66% of the people in Nevada believe the Jets will beat the Bengals. So here's the question: Is Nevada flipped in the Jets favor because there are a huge number of NYers there? Or is it because there are a lot of sharps in Las Vegas? Anybody have a theory?
When you bet the Jets you're getting 2.5 points as opposed to the people who just think the Bengals will win, so that could be a decent percentage right there. Also, those polls can be manipulated by multiple votes.
