Led by the only Rookie QB to throw 20+ Int in a season and lead his team to the playoffs. That was some kind of stat/record...
Very true, it will be interesting to see whether the running game can make up for the inconsistencies in the passing game...
So much disrespect that fox sports even refuses to put the "z" next to our name  http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-playoff-picture
This coming from the same network that moved us down in the power rankings after wins. No surprise there.
All I know is this: The Cinncinnatti Bengals took a complete ass-whooping from the JETS last week, and you know they can't be anxious to playing us again. If I was the Bengals, I'd be afraid.... very afraid, lol. And I really hope we get the Colts somewhere in the playoffs. I think they know they'll be in for a tough game too. I don't think any team out there is saying, "I hope we get to play the Jets" This reminds me to mention ho sick I am of Mike Francesca. Monday's after a win like we had I'm all happy and excited, can't hear enough about the win and about my team. But just a few minutes listening to the Fransesca show has me sick. "The Jets got two back to back gifts", "Jets fans should take it easy, they should hear themselves talking about their defense and thier running game" "Are they (Jets fans) serious, do they really think they were gonna beat the Colts? Alright, they played a good game against the Bengals, but come on". Blah blah blah... How does he know Peyton Manning doesnt get pressured into a cpouple of turnovers by the Jets # 1 defense in the 4th quarter of that game? How can he just assume that Manning can go right down the field and score at will? He refuses to accept that the Jets have an elite defense this year. All it is is negativity and disrespect from him. This guy will be running us down and showing no respect even if we win a few Superbowls. I've turned him off and refuse to listen to him anymore, and I suggest any self-respecting Jets fan does the same. I'm boycotting him.
On SportsCenter Teddy Bruschi just picked the Jets to win this weekend and also as the most likely AFC wild card weekend team to make the Super Bowl...
To answer the original question... We absolutely belong. We won enough games and we beat the teams we needed to beat. I don't buy this whole gift bs. Bellychicken proved last week by having Welker out there for meaningless stats proved that Polian and Caldwell did the right thing. It's not like the Colts said we want the Jets to get in over the Steelers and Texans so lets throw the game. A freak thing like what happened to Pat White happening to Manning ends any chance the Colts have to win a game in the playoffs let alone a Superbowl. Guys get hurt in all sorts of weird ways ie Dan Marino and Vinny tearing Achilles. These guys need to stop with the gift bs. Why no mention of the gifts we gave Atlanta, Buffalo and Miami in the Meadowlands? I strongly believe the Bengals were going to try to win but after consecutive 3 and outs and absolute domination by our OL they realized they weren't going to win and mailed it in but at that point it was 10- 0 and we had dominated nearly 2 whole quarters. They gained nothing but leaving the starters out there well into the 3rd quarter by trying to score some feel good points and they couldn't even manage that. It won't be that easy this week but the Jets have the superior D, the superior Run game and and superior ST. As long as the gameplan remains what it has been the last 2 weeks the Jets should win. Then of course they'll be another excuse as to why we won.
