It was fantastic. It was worth enduring the weather conditions. I'd have to say Chrebet got the loudest ovation, but most of us were yelling for everyone. Toon got a great reception too. Marty Lyons wrapped it up with a rousing speech, and he even paid homage to Leon Hess. His mention of Woody drew boos. Oh, and I almost forgot - Kerry Jenkins and Leon Washington represented the current team and both came out. Jenkins was able to jog out waving, (a good sign of his recovery) and Leon came out moving fast on his crutches! Leon kept raising both crutches up like "V" for Victory wings. It was spectacular. That drew tremendous cheers as well.
It was fun. The biggest cheers went to Klecko, Gastineau, Chrebet, Vinny and leon(I think leon got the loudest ovation). Dwayne White is unbelievably fat, it was scary seeing him like that.
yup... vinny and jumbo elliot received huge cheers... i unfortunately was peeing when #80 came out but i heard an explosion so i figure it was for him
I thought Leon got the loudest ovation on his crutches...Some got good cheers, Gastineau surprised me. Of course #80 got a loud roar. Some of them didn't get that excited...Fabini came out and looked like he wanted no part of it. Victor Green was dancing around having a blast! I couldn't believe how OLD Clifton looked? Was a great little ceremony, and an even better game!
Sounds like a great night that will provide great memories down the road for those that were there. Was Dennis Byrd there?
I loved it, I have to admit when I saw Ray Mickens wearing #24 I was thinking he should not be wearing that Jersey, lol. I wish Vinny passed the ball to Chrebet in the EZ on the way out, that would've been great.
