Yes if U go back & look at the way the D was playing when Manning was in & how different they were as soon as painter showed up U really have ur answer if U watched the game super closely
Everyone's saying he was picking us apart bc of that one drive to open the half but I think the D would've settled down.
some ESPN Jets haters keep laying it on about the Colts pulling their top guys, well they all played the entire 1st half & the score was only 15-10, I'm sure the Jets would not have rolled so easy as they did but who's to say they would have lost? a 5 point lead is nothing, maybe we'll get a second shot at Manning & the Colts, you never know, then we'll see who's the better team....
It's hard to make the case that a team who had won 23 straight would lose at home, but anything is possible. We were in the game when they took him out, that's all you can say. Not only did Indy put Painter in, they had him throwing from inside their own 20 in his first live NFL action. The first series they got away with it and punted, the second series it came back to bite them.
Exactly. Manning was picking us apart with his 50 yard bombs and a bunch of TDs. We were with in a score even when Manning was in for almost 3 quarters for christ sake!
