I like Chad a lot but have a hard time feeling sorry for his current situation. His will to compete sometimes seems to affect his better judgment concerning his own health and well-being, and he ends up doing something like the dive against Buffalo 2 seasons ago, or coming in way too early like he did last season. Granted, you are supposed to count on your coach to control a player like that, but we had a head coach whose 'hands-on' approach apparently included telling a story about livestock. (joke, but Chad should never have seen the field so early last offseason) Chad has made his own bed in a number of ways.
Why would I do that? Because I think he is done? That doesn't mean he still isn't one of my favorite Jets ever. No. I will keep my username thank you very much.
Holy Cr*p, you bet. I tore out my arm hair just thinking about it. Slide, Slide, HOLYSMOKESSONOFAB*TCH, SLIDE!
I just want to say how bad I feel for all the Jets fans who counted on Chad for the last couple of years to bring us some glory. Thanks Chad
At least he has a better offensive line. I'm really glad we drafted the way we did. Considering the Jets' chances in 2006-2007 aren't exactly fantastic, its worth it to give Chad Pennington one more shot at the starting position while having Patrick Ramsey as a fallback option and Kellen Clemens as a future.
