I liked the 1st down call on the play fake with Clemens, where he ran for 6, but was looking for Braylon downfield.
Yes, of course. Every fan on this site is a better offensive coordinator than Brian Schottenheimer. You do realize that if receivers make the catches they should, and Sanchez throws on target in the end zone, we score three more touchdowns last night, right?
Doubtful. Each play is a function of the preceding events. If Sanchez hits J-Co for the TD we never attempt the bomb.
if he connects with Cotch that bomb is done no matter what because Schotty would see that the passing game is working so he'd get all wet in the pants and have sanchez throw 38 times with a lead. the Bills had more rushes than the jets at halftime.
I thought the opening drive was called brilliantly. They were expecting a heavy dose of Jones, we ran a reverse left, pass right, mixed it all up and marched right down the field. Cotchery was wide open for a TD, Sanchez just missed him. The Jets knew they were going to run a lot, but they used the pass early to back the Bills off a bit. We ran for over 200 yards, hard to argue with it.
Cimini is lazy, but has improved. Now that all the post game press conferences are televised, you can see and hear who is asking the right questions. I love watching SNY after the game, its the best way to get an unbiased opinion.
Meh..... If Sanchez stays in the game and Shotty continues to be cute and toss the ball around while he throws a pick 6 for the loss, we're Same Old.... I think Clemens coming in might have helped us... Plus, again, even Bills fans were saying it - Why pass at all when you can run like you did last night?
that's a ridiculous statement...did you watch that fool play last night?! Let's just give Brick a big group hug for falling on Clemens' fumble and preventing a catastrophe.
that was the 2nd drive and it was called well. the opening drive was a 3 and out, and that was the typical bullshit I expected from Cutesy. Even the NFL Network guys said Schotty has to stop getting cute in the red zone.
i get what he is trying to say. If Sanchez is in there, Schotty puts him in position to make mistakes. With Clemens, he had no choice but to play the power running game.
You're right, it was the second drive. Still, you have to mix in some pass or they are going to stop the run, that's what happened after Clemens came into the game, too. I did get annoyed in the red zone after we ran all the way down the field and then started throwing on 2nd and 4, leading to a FG. NFLN just showed the stat about how much and how well teams run vs Buffalo in the red zone and we throw two incomplete passes. But I thought Shotty did ok, we ran for over 200 yards, only punted a few times and won the game.
C'mon now that's not fair, none of us can be as good as BS, but we can all be as bad. Just kidding, I did not get to see the game last night but I did see some of the highlights on ESPN, I know that does not give me enough info to speak of last night's game hence my lack of posts on the game, I'm just glad they won.:jets:
Just wanted to pop this thread back up to prove to a friend that I had BS's back, earlier in the season.
