    Loved the Rhodes line.

Haven't read today's presser, but apparently Sanchez is back at full speed. Read this at nyjets.com.

"The other one he probably could have signaled fair catch on."

I hope Eric Smith still gets the time during running downs, he's a far better player than Rhodes against the run.

LOL at the fair catch line towards Rhodes's 2nd INT

I'd like to see Smith in there on all three downs, even when Kerry comes in. On third down, he can play backer and shadow Fitzpatrick. I don't think Sanchez is going to throw this one away; our success will depend on the Harvard boy not being able to run on third and long.

Very good point, I like this role for Smith. Fitz is a dangersous runner and the Jets never seem to respect running qbs.

Rex is right...Revis should receive serious consideration for DPOY.

He won't just because for some reason a lot of people still don't know much about him, and we'd have to make the playoffs for him to even be considered. No matter how much he deserves it.

It's funny how much more enjoyable Rex's pressers are following a victory

Revis is obviously a worthy candidate for DPOY, but I'll be shocked if it isn't either Jared Allen or Darren Sharper.

Jared Allen is a helluva player, but one look at his stat line he ate up green bay and has been ok every where else. He gets pressure all the time and helluva player but he bulked up stats in two games against same oppenent.
Revis as it has been charted on here has done it game in and game out.

My head would explode if Sharper got it. Revis and Allen are far more worthy.

If Jared Allen went down, the Williams Wall would still be dominant.

If Darren Sharper went down, the Saints would be somewhat less effective.

If Revis went down, our entire defense would cease to function.

Too much attention is paid to Allen's and Sharper's stats: Darrelle Revis is the single most valuable defensive player in the league.

Look at it this way: if you were the Patriots, who have concern at all three of those positions, and you could grab one of them for a playoff run, who would it be?

That is what some said would happen if Jenkins ever went down.
But yeah, having both gone. Would totally suck.

I'll be honest im a bit suprised after Rhodes 2 INT"s he's still backing up Smith. I Guess the 2 punt return Interceptions didn't convince Rex.

    Did you watch Smith play??

He was a beast against the run, no pussy footing around for him. I love having him in there, Kerry can learn how to play tough and maybe turn it around.
