I'm not here nearly as often as I would like, so maybe that is old news, but Carrie Rhodes is a freaking hilarious nickname. If that's your creation, congrats to you, sir. Classic.

The uncapped year allows you to recognize every player's signing bonus in the current year. Say, for example, that Gholston received a $20 million signing bonus. He would have received all of that money up front, but there's no way to fit the signing bonus under the cap. Therefore, you amortize (split up) the $20 million over the life of his contract. Now that there is no cap, we can recognize his entire signing bonus and we won't go over the cap (since there is no cap).

Really unlikely that those spelling names wrong are viewing it as a problem.

I would say it's the people who 'waste' their time correcting others on a football message board that have the problem. If you want to be the grammar police go tutor an elementary school kid.

    Stick to football.

When you look at some of the games... Edwards is responsible for alot of the game changing catches that he dropped!!! I know we got faith in him early on but to think about it Cleveland was very easy to part with him and didnt want him back or missed him. That says something about you, Im just speaking off facts but the guy does have butter fingers like they said he did..

edwards is going to want a mega contract on the one season he played like a pro. do we really want the jets to commit a huge contract on another guy that is not committed to the game. we already have a couple of those type players in ghost and rhodes, we don't need another high salary for a average at best player.

edwards has shown me that he's not committed to football. tanny should have looked else where. edwards isn't the answer...

not everyone wants to feel retarded when they read a football message board.

so just because its the interwebnets grammar and spelling no longer matter? it makes it difficult to read for the people who made it through high school.

I would tend to agree with this. Although at times he seems like an all-pro, at other times he seems afraid to catch the ball. There's no way we should offer him 10M per season.

Spelling and grammar do matter on the internet, as does starting each sentence with a capital letter. ;-)

Next year he is going to get a one year contract anyways... so the money he'll get in the future really depends on how well he plays.

    It doesn't really matter but,

The RFA tender amounts are as follows:

    Compensation
    Amount

    Original Draft Round
    $1.01 Million

    2nd Round Pick
    $1.545 Million

    1st Round Pick
    $2.198 Million

    1st & 3rd Round Pick
    $2.792 Million

I normally don't say anything but this guy repeatedly and consistently spells Rhodes' name wrong. It just got on my nerves.

As for the point of the thread, I think we have to re-sign Braylon after giving up picks and players for him. Let Sanchez develop with this guy.
