Enough of these predictions. I hope we win every game the rest of the season, but let's be realistic and focus on what areas we can develop in order to salvage some face the rest of the season and go into the 2010 offseason strong.
You know what? It would be the jets luck to win 6 straight and not get in the playoffs on tiebreakers from these stupid losses.
Thoughts?.... Yeah, you're smoking crack and you need to stop...it's bad for you. Listen, this team is not good. Our coach has no clue what he's doing. Schotty is still shitty even though he is out from under the Mangina shadow.
Its a funny thing, if the jets actually do win 3 straight it will put them back into the wildcard hunt, either tied for the 6th spot with a few teams (Jax, Den, Hou, Balt) or one game out looking in with 3 to play. Are we going to make the playoffs? No, however to get back above .500 and go into the final 3 weeks of the season with something to play for and after all the crap ass performances that Sanchez has put together, and still be 7-6, would say alot about the character of this team... Of course with Carolina, Buff and TB we will find a way to lose to TB in the last minute after blowing a 2 TD lead in the second half. Lets just win 1 game first. Get to 5-6 and root for SF beating JAX, Pitts beating Balt, NYG beating Denver and IND beating Houston... All that puts us one game out with 5 to play.
We might not win any of those games, if we can't stop the run against the Panthers that's definitely a loss, Tampa Bay should be a W if we don't win that game and Josh Freeman embarrass us I swear I will go postal, as for the Bills, it's honestly a toss up, but I think here and out Sanchez starts to play better football starting next week, he can't get any worse at this point, i'm kind of glad he's going through this, I mean the guy tries his fucking hardest out there and some things just don't work out, chalk it to the play calling or something, but regardless these play calls are somewhat crazy for Sanchez, I would be hoping for easier play calls to get Sanchez going, boot-legs, they really need to look at what Sanchez did at USC and use that to their advantage, I believe that Shotty has taken Sanchez weaknesses on the field and is using that on the field and not using his strengths, Shotty has got ALOT of work to do, I just don't know if he's the answer, he's so bad man
I say we will be whatever mark sanchez wants us to be.. It will be fairly difficult to win if he throws 3 picks in a game
i think we will be 7-6 also, but w/indy,atlanta, and the bengals to end the year, we are heading towards an 8-8 season. i will say this, i think our future is bright, sanchez wont be a rookie next season, neither will ryan, and for the first time in 26 years we wont be playing our home games at GIANTS STADIUM, i dont know about all you guys, but i for one cant wait to get the f::k out of that stadium!
With the way the AFC is starting to shape up anything could happen. Cincy might start playing like the criminals they are, Pittsburgh might be in some trouble with Troy our and maybe Ben. Denver finally sucks like we all knew they should, so those tiebreakers might comeback to bite us in the ass. It would be funny if we did run the table and missed out of the playoffs because Miami is 10-6 also. If that were to happen finheaven would explode with all the thanking going on over there.
A while ago, just for shits and giggles, I stated that our number of wins this season would equal the first number of Sanchez's passer rating. Stupid claim, but it just might turn out true. Where's he at right now, sixty something?
Miami going 10-6 wont happen.. With them going to Buffalo, NE @ JAx, @ Ten, houston and pitt to end the season.. 8-8 looks more possible than 10-6. They probably beat buff jax and Ten... Ideally they beat Jax and Houston for us and then lose to everyone else, so we can catch both those teams...
I can see 7-6 happening. Plus a surprise upset of the Bengals in week 17, and the Jets probably end up at .500 to end the season. What I want to see at this point is something resembling progress. That's what I wanted to see before the season started and it's what I continue to want - surprised 3-0 start be damned. I think the Jets starting out undefeated in the first 3 games was probably the worst thing that could happen with the situation that we have, because the fans feel broken-hearted over a fantasy scenario of a new defensive scheme+rookie HC+rookie QB+extremely competitive divison ending up in the playoffs, but it is what it is.
