That hurts man. I thought I was the other pats fan you could stomach. I know it's not any consolation, but I was having some severe deja vu in the 3rd quarter... and not the good kind.
Don't you root for Boston to beat the Yankees. Contradiction? Anyways, kudos DW. The Pats destroyed the NYJ today no question.
Oh man, just got back from that ass wiping at Gillette, I was waiting all week for it. Section 128 Row 5, right off the field and I couldn't see a damn thing thanks to that Fat Mouth Pillar of towering blubber Rexie himself. Rex, keep talking, you now have the greatest 4-6 team the NFL has ever seen. You are right, Braylon Edwards for the 3rd round pick and maybe a #2 (dohhhh), was the missing piece. Oh wait, umm, maybe he wasn't. Check back again with us Rex, you walking effin tire tube. Tell us all again how great that 4-6 team is. Have you learned to shut the eff up yet, I don't think you have. I'll say it for you tug boat: SHUT THE EFF UP !!!! Until you learn that, you're team isn't doing jack fat man, listen, shutup and learn, that's step 1 in this league. Rex, Lose the effin "Sanchize" term, lose it. You are embarrasing him and yourself. If you have any brains, you should sit him now before all of his confidence gets completely shoved up his arse. He sucks. And I thought Paulie Walnuts had balls, I see this arse walking around in the parking log with a Sanchez shirt on with his Yankees cap, I wonder if he made it out of the stadium and you call us arrogant ?
When you can tell us the 3 QB's prior to Brady, get back to us. I'm being kind by giving you the QB prior to Brady. You surely know him, right? edit: Sorry, time ran out. No google help available.
Revis really is a beast. He can stay with Moss and also can get physical at the line. Otherwise very surprising Jets came out flat. Took them a half to show up, and looked like the week 2 Jets for the couple of the series. Of course, giving up a ST TD and a rare miss by Ghost didn't help. You can tell Sanchez is rattled. More than a couple of series he ran out of the pocket when there was not immediate pressure. He's a great talent (re: long TD pass) but if I were a Jets fan you gotta worry about the shuffles - you can mature as a quarterback but can't recall too many that had the shuffles then grew out of them. And Ellis is always a tough matchup - I was worried about Jones/Greene today, but the early lead didn't allow Jets to establish a run game. P.S. And kudos to DW - there are a lot of trolling Pats fans here just as there are trolling Jets fans on Pats boards. DW is a refreshing exception.
Same, but it would be a different feeling if it were football, superbowls are so much harder to come by, the Yankees winning the World Series is expected
Yup congrats to Yanks on the WS win. Sox need to do a lot to catch up. Winning WS is just as tough as SB. We'll see how the new stadium effects the teams when it goes to an uncapped year. Tannenbaum is one of the better GMs in the league.
Some real classy posts by the usual suspects, I wish I could say your team was full of classy guys but they definately are better (and it's not like we've got a bunch of classy guys running aound East Rutherford either) . I hate to say it but the Pats are starting to heat up and I think they are better than the Colts and especially Pittsburgh and San Diego. It makes me sick to think that you guys are a legit SB contender again. I would wish you guys good luck but that would violate my no wishing luck to Boston fans rule.
Hey I can never, ever say good luck to the Yanks either, but you gotta give credit where its due. Not to hijack but I'd kill to have Tex on 1B on the Sox. Pittsburgh is just not the same this year, and San Diego usually bites the dust in cold weather. I think Rex' real coaching skills will come to play in the next few weeks, when the season is pretty much over and there's a real chance that team crumbles further. Next time, Jets should have Welker covered by Revis. Cover-2 or 3 with safety help on Moss. When Welker has an off-day Pats are in trouble.
Welker has always seemed to be the guy that has been what makes the Pats go. I guess we can thank that rat Nick Saban for giving his buddy Belly a great weapon.
Now, let's not revise history here. Welker was a restricted free agent and any team could have offered him a contract. Pats stepped up and made the highest (if not the only) offer, and instead of losing him Miami decided to trade for him instead. At that time Welker was not a heralded player by any stretch - one of those "unsung" guys that killed the Pats in all the games they played. Jets also could have made an offer to Welker as any of the other teams. But I don't think Pioli/BB ever imagined Welker would be the league-leading receiver he is today. P.S. Another note - this trade was made BEFORE the trade for Moss.
Just listening to Revis on press conference - mature, professional, but you can see he's intensely competitive. Revis and Mangold are arguably both best in their respective positions today.
What did this guy do to get banned? This obviously wasn't it.... seemed like a decent post. Yes Welker is very good and he is obviously the WR that can get your O going as evidenced by Moss being shut down again by Revis. The Pats can't win w/o Welker in the game. It's also painful to think his name is only 1 letter away from an alltime great Jet WR to add salt to the wound.
I thought in 1st first half that was the best team we played all year-even better than NO. I was proud of our team for bouncing back and making it a game but our rookie QB had a rookie game. it's going to happen from time to time. Good luck the rest of the way and hopefully we are challenging you for the div title in '10.
