Wow, didn't see that happening! If we waived him I guess it's because we are making room for someone... who do you think it will be? If it's Larry Johnson I'm going to laugh sooo hard! PS It might be a punt return specialist...
The guy is a talented special teamer- if anything it's another talented special teamer who has some return skills.
Does Ivy return punts? I'm surprised because I thought we were going to cut Miller since he has already lost is KR duties...
Miller was inactive for this game. Maybe the coaching staff is keeping him around for another week, following the logic of some of the posters on this board that Miller just "needs time to get fast again." Not sure about Ivy.
well whatever the case maybe, expect a roster move adding a guy later in the day. I think it has to be a KR/PR specialist. it has to be. but then why cut caroll instead of Miller? who knows. Chances are in 2 weeks miller will be cut and caroll will be back
WTF is up with the Miller negativity? Of course he just needs a little time. He's like a 94 in Madden.
Carton reported this morning that Carroll was waived because he would not participate in a "team test." He really didn't expand...don't know if it was a spelling test, coloring test, coverage test????? Don't have much more than that, but maybe someone can expand on this?
I always had a bad taste in my mouth with Miller after he hit the woman in NYC and then decided to hide from the cops in a parking garage.
Yea, it's not like Ryan gave this exact reason for Carroll's departure in his press conference yesterday...
Hey I wrote that before hearing Rex saying it! However it was kind of a no brainer... Cole was active and Carroll wasn't... they are both important for ST duties and they have the exact same build. I'm sure there must have been some off-the-field stuff going on with Carroll but then again a guy who gets drafted in rd 1, gets cut after two years and is only good on ST musn't be that great of an athlete (from a professional standpoint).
Don't forget about being cut on Tuesday after his performance in a Monday night game. According to Hutch, the last straw came when he skipped a written test with his positions coach. He was inactive the past two games and between Wright, Smith, Cole, Izzo, and Murrell, I think we have enough in the special teams corps.
