I really liked Revis and didn't think he would make it to 14. He is also a punt returner, which saves you an extra roster spot. I had him rated higher than Hall and he was the highest rated corner, Landry is a safety and we are set at that position. I didn't like Houston(who is not as good as Miller, a guy we already have) and didn't like Ross(who is 25 and a 1 year starter). I would have loved to find a way to get Branch.
How can you say? Didn't you watch Leon Hall hold Dwayne Jarrett to ONLY 240 yards? Revis is the truth
Well considering we don't have a shutdown corner and have needed a top flight, tall CB(5'11+) for years, I would say Revis filled a need every bit as important as any nose tackle or O lineman left at 14.
We have brought in 3 people to compete for the OLB, trust me the ILB spot was much more needed, and I am still looking for this incredible invisible 3-4 NT in this draft you guys wanted us to pick, because I don't see anyone close. As for offensive line it is too early in the game to judge whether that is negated or not. The fact that I won't have to see Schlegel in a critical play ever again barring injury, and the fact that we won't have a revolving door for the #2 CB spot tells me that our defense just took steps forward to being a good defense
i'm w/you, this is why most of us just need to shut up, if we knew more than tannenbaum we would be the jets gm!!!! but i understand this is an opinionating site, but we need to just post our opinions, and stop acting like were head coaches and gm's
I got a little laugh out of this one. Ginn typically sucks, Revis shuts down everyone, but Ginn Toasted him this year. go figure.
Mangold was the best center drafted in the last 4-5 years. Nick Hardwick is the next guy i'd put next to Mangold in terms of talent and production. Jason Brown gets an honorable mention
at least mangold was a lot more hyped than revis coming out, IMO. can't wait to see mangold as our head coach one day, name in the ring of awesome.
