Why is there no hatred of Larry Izzo thread? The guy essentially gets paid to play ST and he missed a tackle on the 2nd KO return...pretty fucking badly too. He also tackled Leonhard on his best return of the season back in week 2 costing us a possible TD.
You're right, he should be cut...everyone else should get a pass. In fact, every non-starter on every NFL team who doesn't play specials because they're not good at it is even worse than Woodhead, so they should be cut too. This league is a joke...all these low calibre players taking up roster spots.
It's absurd that he was even out there on return coverage. Maybe they should have dwarf tossed him at Ginn
This was all that really needed to be said to end this thread. As I said earlier, Woodhead really has no business being on ST right now. If they want to try to bring him up to speed and improve him in that area of the game, great. He was brought up primarily to address depth issues at WR and, now, RB. While he's been overrated by many on this board, it's just as foolish to suggest he's not an NFL player.
There's no hatred of Larry Izzo thread because Larry Izzo hasn't received the unwarranted idolatry that Woodhead has. This thread is garbage, but it's reactionary garbage.
This. He wasn't signed to be a ST player. He has the speed to be one, but obviously not quite ready for it. I'd like to see him playing the positions he was signed for. WR, RB.
This topic has probably got it's own thread, but why the love affair wit Woodhead? It seems every year the fans are clamoring for one of the guys on the practice squad to get there chance. Last year it was Clowney and Murrell. Murrell at least excelled at special teams, while Clowney earned his spot due to his ability to break away from the pass coverage. If we had a solid 1-2 to start the season, it's debatable that Clowney would make the active roster every week. Woodhead is this years flavor. Where will he be next year? My guess is not here.
