I'm throwing it out there, the NY Jets would be 7-1 or 8-0 if Brett Favre was QB. They would have beaten the Saints, they would have beaten the Bills, and yes they would have beaten the Dolphins at least once if not twice. I'm not saying it's entirely Sanchez's fault, although he did suck two of the games that we lost. However, having a QB like Favre on your team changes everything from the way you call plays on offense to the way other teams play against you.

Also, all the haters can't say anything this year. I have no hate for Brett and he's still my favorite non-Jet QB in the league. If the Jets miss the playoffs I will root for Favre like I do every year.

To deflect some of the flames that will come my way, I will say that it is still important for Sanchez to go through what he's going through now and that the experience that he's gaining will be extremely important for him and our Jets going forward. This year is a necessary step for the Jets.

Eh. I don't care about Favre. He's not a franchise or future QB. He's a one time deal and he never wanted to play for the Jets. There was really no way he was going to play for the Jets for the second year, regardless. He always wanted to play for the Vikings. Stop saying stuff like this, just stick with Sanchez and let him work out his rookieness. He'll turn into the franchise QB we think he will!

And if someone asked you last year around week 12, if you wanted Brett as your QB? I myself would have said HELL no. While you may be right about everything you posted. I could not handle this wildcard for another year. I think his ability to stay in control this year (the year isn't over) is due to his respect for the HC. He was only in New York by happenstance. He went with what was called, and the OC told him to do whatever it took.

Favre did the Jets a great service, he allowed us to cut Pennington and draft Sanchez. He was allot of fun for 2/3 of the season until his performance really mattered and he mailed it in.

Favre is a guy who is basking in his 15 minutes of fame way to long. Nothing uglierer than a beautiful young women who can't grow old gracefully.

Yeah, he was traded by GB to NY. He didn't get released and then sign with us.

I'm not saying I really want Favre to be our QB this year. However, it annoys me that so many Jets fans hate on the guy. He fell apart at the end last year, yeah I know, but he was hurt, and he was playing for Mangina, I mean he probably hated the guy.

We would be a better team if he was here, it almost a fact.

However, I agree that we need Sanchez to play, we need him to take his bumps and bruises. To learn, to understand how things work in the NFL. Sanchez has probably learned more in the past 8 weeks than he would have watching Favre for 16.

favre used the jets as a stop gap to get to the vikings...he tanked the season on purpose so it would be easier to part ways

jets = favre's rebound 1 night stand hooker

I am happy for two things this year. Pennington is not a Jets QB. Favre is not a Jets QB.

I doubt he tanked on purpose. He was hurt and he fell apart. So did the rest of the team and so did Mangina.

Hey, put it this way, if not for Favre, not only would we not have Sanchez, but Mangina would probably still be coach.

    Good Lord!!

Where would our Franchise be in the years to come??

A 45 Year old QB, you can have him.

Brett is a douche that used the Jets to get his ultimate revenge on the Packers.
This was his plan all along and now he's accomplished that.

This thread is like saying where we would be if the Colts were the Jets but we got to keep our defense.

    Who really cares?

Never heard this before. Random threads going in a repeated circular motion. Great stuff.

Interesting, and again I interject with the Peyton Manning scenario. Imagine the possibilities.

And we should have beaten OAK, SEA, SF with Favre last year. But we didn't , again, with Favre.

Stop with this horseshit. We would be 8-0 with Peyton Manning but we are not.

What kind of bullshit hypothetical thread is this.
