we are a team with a rookie coach and quarterback. I saw more offense in the second half today than I saw in the last three weeks. Defense looked stout without Jenkins. Miami is not a bad team. Don't panic. The team will be there!!

The season is done, but Sanchez is definitely a gamer. Played very well in the second half. This loss is on special teams.

I read a bunch of rediculous posts but ST lost the game today. Yes Rexy could have gone PAT after the 2 with a FG at the end for OT but ST let Ginn burn us - not once but TWICE.

I just wish that al three phases of the game can play well at one time. Its like one area collapses at the most critical points.

This team will be VERY good next season. Doesn't mean we shouldn't give them sh*t for messing up this season though. How else will they learn?

Dude get the fuck out of here with your optimism we just lost 2 straight games to the dog shit dolphins and we stuffed the pussycat and we still lose. We always reinvent ways to lose.

    Same Old Jets.

as bad as this game was there were a lot of positives. Our O with edwards and cotch and keller (finally) looked nasty. Our D was nasty and our ST blew it cus ginn runs like a kenyan. Our seasons not over but its close seeing as how we need to win like 6 of the next 8 to get a wildcard but I feel our team is moving in the right direction as a franchise.

We say this same shit almost every year. "Look out for next year". It's the same shit with the Mets. I want this year to be the year.

    Fuck the Jets, they suck.

    Jets Defense
    104 yards allowed
    10 points allowed
    6 sacks
    1 fumble recovery

If you see those stats, and then you see the final score, it's quite shocking. ST shit the bed and the offense sucked for first half and the play calling on the final 4 plays sucked.

Look I'll get flamed for this, but I'm totally at peace with this loss. I was already convinced that the season ended with Jenkins being out, and our defense being exposed in weeks 4-5.

    Maybe next year. Again.

    JAC (3-3)
    NE (5-2)
    CAR (2-4)
    BUF (3-5)
    TB (0-7)
    ATL (4-2)
    IND (7-0)
    CIN (5-2)

The Jets need at least 6 of 8 wins if they want to make the playoffs.

If this were any other team, I'd say 4 of those games should be wins. Then again the Jets should have gone 4-0 in their last 4 and instead went 1-3.

Anyway, assuming they win those 4 games, they'd still have to beat two or three of either NE, ATL, IND, CIN. Those will be tough games. They're going to have a tough time if they want to make the playoffs.

Going into the bye 5-3 or 6-2 would have made a huge difference.

Thats the truth, take away just of those returns and I think we have a "W". The defense did a good job containing their offense for most of the game so no complaints there. I've got a couple of gripes on offense but 14 points on back to back returns is tough to overcome and that falls on our ST's.

The defense really stepped up today. I still miss Jenkins blowin up the middle, but I think we can hold our own with out him. They had a good plan to shut down the pussy cat. Out of our 4 losses, 1 we got beat - the Saints - the other 3 were there for the taking. Defense cant hold Miami in our 1rst matchup, Offense turns the ball over 5 times to the Bills, the ST's gives up 14 points today. Maybe they can start playing a complete game at the same time instead of rotating.

  17. For what? Being a realist?

Sorry for not being a blind optimist. I'm sure many of us at one time or another were...but this franchise just continues to underachieve and disapoint.

Realism was expecting a rooking QB and head coach to win it all? Please....I am not an optimist...I am a realist. I predicted 8-8 for the year before the year started. I think we are ahead of schedule. The sky isn't falling dude. It takes time for anyone to create something. I am not saying that this coach has "it", only saying give him more than a couple of losses to the fins to prove it. BTW, the fins are not that bad. Look at a few of their losses this year.

Keep bleeding green man. We are all in this together.

imagine if we actually beat the bills with 300 yds rushing and todays game? those 3 games after NE are very winnable.

    but this is the JETS!!
