He challenged Ruiz. He thought he could blow by him with a 94 mph heater, he was wrong. Marte is my personal game MVP. What a fuckin' G. Stepping up.
Mechanically he looks fine to me. I just think that he's thrown a ton of high leverage innings this season and is wearing down--luckily for the Yankees Mo is there to pick up the slack at this time of year. In game 2 the pitching bailed the offense out; in game 3 the offense bailed out the pitching. Great teams can beat you in any style you want, that's why I feel really confident about this year's Yankees. If Sabathia can deliver game 4 then this series is all but over. Let's go Yankees!!
ARod struck a TV camera...and Girardi says, "My eyes aren't great, so it was hard for me to see." LOL http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ge-arodhomergamethree103109&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
The game is MUCH better on ESPN...you don't have to listen to stupid Joey/Timmy. Plus, the commercials are a million times better, they are all sports related...not that obnoxious stuff about upcoming shows that will fail before they are barely started. http://www.atdhe.net/index.html
I just plug in my ipod to speakers and listen to music during the games, I can't stand the ambiguously gay duo of Buck and McCarver
Yup. I had my headphones on and was listening to Phish cover (and nail) Exile on Main Street. Actually, it was pretty eerie how things started to turn around for the Yanks right as the second set started. My night went from shitty to awesome very quickly.
"should" is the operative word just like I "should" have said you wouldn't see Chamberlain or Hughes again in a game where the result was on the line. I said you wouldn't see them at all and that wasn't what I was thinking. Even so Mo was warming up with both of them on the mound with a 4 run lead.
BTW, if you hate Tim McCarver as much as I do... Here's a great solution. If you have a portable AM radio, hook up a male to male audio cable from the headphone jack of your radio to your computer's microphone jack. Download this program. http://www.daansystems.com/freestuff/Radiodelay.exe Tune the radio to 880AM then just fiddle with the settings to get the proper delay in the radio audio so that you can sync it with the TV. The sound will come out of your computer speakers with delayed by however many seconds that you set it. Problem solved. You can also do this with Jets games, Rangers games, etc.
