as some of you know miami is having a 5 man competition for the two starting positions at receiver. this is going to have a huge impact on our next game because our #1 receiver has really just sucked balls.....bad! every fin fan is hoping he doesn't make the cut and from we've read it sounds like he's not too happy about this open tryout. i'm expecting to see camarillo and hartline at our #1 and #2 spots and if that happens i am positive henne will have an extra 5-8 passes completed in this game compared to his average. i'm also counting on the dolphins baiting the jets to practice defending against the wildcat all week while the dolphins o really practices its pass attack. from what r.ryan has been saying it sounds like this is happening. so i'm counting on the fins rushing attack having the same success, if not, a bit less. i'm also counting on a big outing from henne. i also feel sanchez is going to have a massive game. our rookies are good but they are still really young and green...they will get burned a couple of times on mental errors... if sanchez is as good as everyone thinks (i think he's good) then he will have to prove it by having 2 deep touchdown passes on man-on-man coverage and maybe an extra 2 td passes on standard passing. it's going to be a great game...i said it last time - this year is the beginning of a newly rejuvenated rivalry. fins - jets henne - sanchez!!!! go henne!!!!!!!! zor
Wait..If the Jets practice defending the wildcat and Miami does not run it, how does that hurt NY? It is obvious when the WC is on..errr RB in the QB spot. So, I still do not get how this an advantage to Miami.
if the Jets overprepare for the WC, and then the Fins run a normal offense, the Jets will just be ready for a normal offense like the other 31 teams in the league are. running a normal offense is how Miami loses games in the 1st place. They need the WC to get them wins.
Though I appreciate the fact that you are a Dolphin fan who made an intelligent football post instead of just trolling, I just can?t see that happening. I think they are just trying to light a fire under Ginn. Don?t forget he is one of the very few WR?s who has beaten Revis this year. It would make no sense to go to a big air attack against the Jets with ?back up? WR?s who don?t have their timing down with Henne against the Jets. The Dolphins ran very well against the Jets last time, even with Jenkins, and unless they are foolish, they will stay with that again. The reason Henne was successful last game in the 4th quarter was because the Jets D was gassed in the Miami heat by the 4th quarter, and were over stressing to stop the WC. I suspect they will have a few twists to insert in the passing game after watching film, but will stay with what worked last time unless they fall 10+ points behind. Which I think they will early. I hope they go big passing game. The Jets have done VERY well against teams that are ?passing powerhouses?. Even New Orleans.
I can't see the Wildcat being as effective as it was @MIA. RR will make the adjustments and will force Chad Henne to beat the NYJ defense. I have full confidence in the NYJ defense. Outside of @MIA they have been devastating in every game.
it was 7-0 atlanta and we were driving and had a fumble by fasano at the 18 yard line you never know what happens if this is not happenin
I never said it'd be a walk in the park. It will no doubt be a close game. Both teams have similar formulas for winning (run O + stingy D) so it will be interesting to see how each team attacks the other.
its nice to see how the tune has changed after game 1 it was all about blowing miami out during the week up to the game
The other thing being overlooked is that this will be Henne's first start on the road. His previous 3 starts came at home. Let's see how he deals in a hostile environment.
To be fair, the NYJ looked damn good up to that point and Miami was a deceiving 1-3. It was not out of line to expect a convincing win for the NYJ.
He won't start. He will see a larger increase in play time than he had before the Saints game. The guy just cannot hold onto the ball. I expect to see him in every so often as the Phins will look to take a few shots deep.
The score was 10-0 until 22 seconds left in the 3rd Quarter. We played our worst game of the year and were still in the game late in the 3rd. That game our OL decided not to show up, but since then they have been very strong.
Part of the advantage is the extra blocker. You get a 11 on 11 match up rather than the 10(offense) on 11 (defense) you get with the QB dropping back to hand the ball off in a regular offense.
