Met fans should root for Yankees to win the World Series for the following reasons: 1. many of our loved ones are Yankee fans -- wives, brothers, sisters, in-laws, neighbors , bosses. 2. Philadelphians hate everything about NY - doesn't matter if you are a Met fan or Yankee fan, Philadelphians HATE ALL OF OF US. 3. Yankee players are kind of easy to like,,,,Jeter, Mariano, AROD (he can be a jerk sometimes but I don't think he would make a bad neighbor), Swisher is fun, Girardi is a good soldier and would pick up your dog's poop, Tex is OK, Petite would take your kid's to Sunday school. 4. Phillie players hate New York - Rollins, Werth, etc. 5. Phillie announcers detest New York. 6. Yankee announcers love New York. Feel free to add to your own reasons!!!
Forget about rooting for one of those teams. Please, JoeJet, give me a reason to watch even one pitch of this World Series.

what if the weather got so bad that the games kept getting delayed all the way into december/january and they just called it off. Its possible the way the league is scheduling the playoffs this year, its absurd. Ws should be half way done by now.

There's a big difference between believing a team sucks balls and finding them respectable. The Red Sox have fielded a talented ballclub over the past half-decade. I still despise them with every breath I take, and always will. I can credit them with having a good team, but I have about as much respect for that organization as I do your average child molester.
Go yanks! Sorry Mets fans there's always next year. For now do yourself a favor and root against your division rivals. Any Yankee fan would root for the Mets if they were playin the Red Sox in the World Series. Fact. You dont want every announcer and every analayst saying "the Mets go up against the defending champions" everytime you play them again next year. Do you?
