I don't understand the pink to be honest, unless they're selling these items somewhere. "Cancer awareness" doesn't mean anything. Everyone's aware, it's what they choose to do about it. As I said, if this stuff gets sold as a donation to charity, then fantastic. But all I've heard is about teams wearing pink. That does absolutely nothing for anyone. Because some guys are wearing pink that makes me more aware of cancer? Just my two cents.

All proceeds from pink NFLauction stuff goes to charity. And at nflshop, pink items say "a portion of the proceeds will be donated to support the fight against breast cancer." Whatever "a portion" means, your guess is as good as mine.

If that's the case, I'm in full support of it. However, I think that should be marketed much more than it has. They should be actively marketing that during the games, which I haven't seen. Maybe I just missed it. I think all sports should have causes like that, whether they change them from year to year or each sport selects a cause to promote, it could really bring in a solid revenue for some of these charity organizations.

haha what a shame the nfl is. a portion, scumbags just cant pass up a penny. someone ought to go to the owners meeting this year with a handful of pennies and some crazy glue and glue them all over the place then get a dollar and put it on a length of fishing line. those old fuckers would all hurt their backs chasing that dollar.

sure its great they are doing something about it but jesus dont you have enough fucking money already? well they did answer that back in the 80s when they fined mcmahon for wearing a juvenile diabetes foundation headband.

One week for breast cancer awareness is enough. Where's the testicular cancer ribbons?

The testicular cancer ribbons may not be ribbons at all. The may just be mini jock straps.

    Thread title threw me off!!

They put 2 in the pink and 1 in the stink.

Meaning 2 guys have been wearing pink cleats and everyone else is wearing there same old stinky cleats.

I just wanted to post the shocker!!

We have lost every game since we started wearing pink, enough is enough. I understand the breast cancer awareness, but that was one week, not three.

It's 'breast cancer awareness month' not 'breast cancer awareness week'. And I'm pretty sure it's the players' decision to keep wearing pink, not the league's or the team's. Bitching about it just makes you sound like assholes.

There are a million good causes out there, and you can't champion all of them and you really should not be forced to hear about all of them all the time too. I do a lot of volunteer work myself. When it comes to watching football though, I want to see football and not worry about other stuff. It was pretty ugly that first week but I mean I can live with that. But it's getting annoying now honestly.

Remember this is the same league that fines people for wearing things to support charities for Juvenile Diabetes. This is just a cash grab and nothing more, the NFL doesn't give a damn about any of the causes. They figure they can sucker women into watching football more I guess, and also the men that are kinda wussy and wouldn't have watched football before the pink thing either.

To be honest though, I can't remember which teams had it on, I do not think all of them did. I think most teams have moved away from it if they've had losses.
