Which vet QB would you like to see in the Jets this next season?
    Who likes K Collins?Jon Kitna?Vinny?
In fact, what would be your ideal 1st,2nd and 3rd stringerz?
Personally,I'd like to lose Chad and Jay........but replace them with who?

    Steve McNair
    Kerry Collins
    Jeff Garcia

    None of them.

Rework Chad's contract and draft the best available QB with the #4 pick. We can groom the rookie while Chad tries to make a comeback. If Chad goes down, Bollinger can take over until the rookie is ready.

Id rather draft a QB with a 3rd round pick or if we end up with another 1st rounder via Abe trade draft the best QB available Cutler/Young/Lienart with the 4th pick and use the other 1st rounder to draft an OT Mcneil/Justice/Scott D Brick should be gone by then.

It Kitna were available, then he would be my first choice. Believe it or not, I would probably go Aaron Brooks second. Collins is so far down the list I may actually prefer Jeff George. Or even Boy George.

Cinci prob won't let Kitna go since Carson Palmer won't be ready at the start of the season. We'll prob end up resigning Fielder again. We let him go because he was due a roster bonus or whatever, and after we see that there is nothing good out there, we might as well bring him back if we don't draft someone.

Ideally, I'd like for us to rework Chad's contract and draft his replacement and let Bollinger start the season. keeping Chad only makes sense from a cap standpoint as we save more by reworking his deal rather than cutting him outright. So we see if he's healthy and give him a shot along with the rookie who will be worked in slowly. After the season we can cut the gimpy Pennington for less of a cap hit as his deal was reworked and he didn't reach any of his incentives. Brooks managed the team for the start of the season while the rookie slowly got worked in. The rookie finished our season off with some quality experience and little pressure as no one expects us to go anywhere and all he's being compared to are a gimp and unimpressive Brooks Bollinger. We finish 4-12 or whatever and have another good draft pick and are optimistic about our future with said rookie QB, whether it's Leinart, Young, Cutler (depending on who is there) or a later Rd pick like Whitehurst or Olsen.
