Is it karma? I know we talked trash and we got off to a 3-0 start but the Steelers and Ravens always talk trash and win for the most part. Losing to the Saints was okay, we still played well. Losing to Miami sucked but I tolerated it, but not losing to the freaking the way we did. Almost though it end up in a tie This shows were far from an elite or superbowl team now. In 2-3 years time, perhaps even next year we could be but with Jenkins out it severely hurts us in the defense department Let Sanchez take his lumps this yr and if we have a losing record so be it. Will be able to draft Suh if were lucky. He'd be our Ngata in this defense. And get a pass rusher here either via FA or draft..and stock up on the lines. That's about it
rookie head coach, rookie QB. before the season even started peeps were talking about hte number of wins we would get. a 7 win season, a 9 win season etc.... after 3 games those numbers jumped to 12. lawlsome. we still have a rookie head coach and a rookie QB. this is rebuilding. this isn't win now, even if the talk made it seem like it.
You guys will be fine. The NFL season is a long stretch. You hit a bump. Regroup, have good practices, etc. and you guys will be right there at the end. All you need is a ticket to the playoffs and anything can happen. I still like your chances, although I am curious to see how the loss of Jenkins plays out.
This is what I keep asking myself too. WHY? Did we anger the football gods?? Why are we being punished like this?
Easy to be kind when your team wins 59-0 and your rivals lose 3 in a row and their best player, but thanks. Haha.
Well I can only go back so far as 86. I can't remember a 4 year stretch as heartbreaking as the last 4 with the two teams combined.
Same. Once the Jets beat New England, ESPN went to New Orleans and hired a voodoo practician to put a hex on the Jets.
it's happening because this is the nfl. the difference between a good team and a bad team is one or two players and one or two plays a game.
Don't take this personally but you're really complaining about a .500 record? The Titans are 0-6 right now and they are pretty much screwed. It's a long season it's far from over.
I think you'd have to be a Jets fan to truly understand. It's the way they have lost their last 3 games and the fact that they just keep finding new ways to lose. The New Orleans and Miami losses were tough but acceptable losses to good teams. Yesterday was just beyond pitiful and it's games like this that lead to us getting no respect from NFL Analysts.
One of my friends told me this story.... When Joe Namath and the Jets won the Superbowl, it was at a cost... Joe Namath had sold his soul to the devil for that win, and until Satan claims his the JETS are not going to be successful again.... That being said, Joe Willy is still looking pretty healthy-not looking good-but healthy enough to count out this year..... What do ya think? Any believers?
i said it jokingly to a friend: Joe has to die for the Jets to win. it could be true, it could not. if he passes while sanchez and Ryan are here and the team has consecutive good seasons it'll creep the hell out of the fanbase. it'll just make us right.
