If you're having a game plan like today, then yes, bench him. Actually, if you'll play the whole season like this, then Sanchez could have a chance in a couple of years. But if the idea is to let Sanchez be the QB for years to come, you need to adapt the game plan to it. You can't rely on a rookie QB to win a passing game, he'll win it sometimes but not always. Use him the less that you can, but let him play.
Do you have anything better to do then to attack someones opinions without providing anything of your own? Get a life you loser.
I am a Sanchez fan. I think he will be a fine quarterback in this league for the Jets. However, I agree, sometime around the 3rd quarter he should have been benched in favor of Clemens. Yes, Sanchez is a rookie, and this is to be expected - however, there also has to be in-game accountability. Worse than some poor throws- he was making even worse decisions. Would Clemens have played better than Sanchez? I don't know. But one could hardly make the case that he would have played much worse. Phil Simms got benched, Eli Manning was benched, a lot of good quarterbacks have been benched during games early in their careers. The same should have happened to Sanchez.
Part of the reason sanchez played so poorly was j co and smith out but theres no excuse. The commentators kept saying it was the weather does anyone agree with that. If it is in fact the weather his california pretty boy ass better grow a pair of balls where his vagina is and suck it up. Your getting paid millions of dollars to play a game and it being chilly outside is no excuse to play like shit.
You want to ruin our rookie qbs confidence to start someone who has no future here. How do idiots like you even manage to breathe?
Sanchez is on my fantasy team, and somehow he managed to get just -6 points. How can you throw 5 interceptions, no tds, and only get -6 points?
You're the idiot. MANY rookie QBs have been benched and gone on to be HOF QBs. How old are you? Haven't watched much football, huh?
YES OF COURSE HE WOULD HAVE. THATS THE WHOLE POINT. ARE WE WILLING TO LOSE TO THE BILLS SO THAT SANCHEZ CAN GET SOME EXPERIENCE???? HE FAILED TO GET FIRST DOWNS, MADE NUMEROUS TERRIBLE DECISIONS, TOOK UNNECESSARY SACKS, THREW 5 INTS AND COST HIS TEAM THE GAME. CLEMENS WOULD HAVE DONE BETTER THAN THAT.
Idiots like him and MBgreen would probably have to see him have 10 turnovers in a game to warrant a benching.
We were up 13-3 in the 4th quarter... Sanchez is NOT the only reason we lost this game today... We could have Clemens in and lost just the same.
its acually a joke to me...sarcasm... because i never thought he was the sanchize....i knew he would fall down but not this quick.... just like nagle... nagle threw for like 360 yds and everyone was like omg se3cond namath and shit... then we play thesteelers the next week and the guy is rocked and i dont think he ever threw for more thasn like 180 yds after
Sanchez is absolutely the main reason we lost today and he is absolutely the main reason we lost to the Saints.
We rushed for 300 yards and LOST. Sanchez lost the game. Watching Sanchez speak now, look like he's going to cry.
Mark was bad today and that is giving him credit, but at least 3 of those passes hit our receivers first ... Not making excuses, but lets not give him 100% of the blame ( Maybe 80% was his fault ) .... He better get used to "bad" weather, 'cause he ain't seen nothing yet ....
if you weren't so irrelevant here, I might actually take that comment seriously. Namath has thrown 6 INTs in a game ....and he wasn't a rookie.....guess he's a piece of garbage too right?... fucking moron.
Schotty called a horrible game and needs his ass kicked. Seriously his game plan did not protect the rookie qb when he needed it. Simple as that. The defense did fine, not great but fine. When Sanchez started having issues he should started calling more plays to protect him. I know you need to throw the ball but change things up call a screen, simple throws to the flat even if they don't get the first downs he gains some respect for himself. but instead after the missed field goal and the Lowery interceptio this is the time to pull back the play calling. Schotty does not. Why?
Eric Ainge and Kellen Clemens makes us playoff ready right? Sanchez needs to get used to playing in this weather and just get some experience. Benching him would be fucking stupid.
