every time kerry rhodes touches someone on the offense after an average play he gets up like he is amazing. he usually walks like 10 yards away from everyone to show he was the one who made the play. hey kerry, if you really feel you didn't blow the coverage then be quiet. no reason to respond to a fan. and you did throw revis under the bus! i want to see the kerry rhodes from 2006. making plays in the secondary! picking off passes! then you can talk. until then do not throw our best secondary player under the bus for being human.
+1 This is exactly how I feel. I used to like Rhodes a lot because he had that blue-collar mentality that I love in players. He played hard and hungry a few years ago. Now he's becoming more of a diva and harder to root for. The showboating/deliberately singling himself out after making a play is just stupid. If you are the elite safety you say you are, act like you've been there before!
I'm still a Rhodes fan. But how in the world could you throw Revis under like that? How many times has Revis saved Rhodes with his play? Rhodes has to take a kick in the ass from this.
agreed, im less than enthused with rhodes thus far this season. last year he had mangini as an excuse.
I think this is the begining of the end for Kerry Rhodes as a Jet. I've followed this dude since his days a Louisville, he's always had the talent but could never quite make the big play when it counted which is why he was drafted a little low. He came into the league with something to prove and played like it the first few years. Since last year he has regressed big time. Although he had a decent game last night and that Ginn TD probably wasn't his fault (maybe Leonard's), that doesn't excuse that stupid comment. He just doesn't get it and I just don't think he's dedicated to the game anymore.
Without a doubt! Sometimes it looks like he's more concerned about not getting banged up than making a tackle. He thinks he's a celebrity of some sort. He apparently doesn't realize that his "celebrity" status directly depends on what he does on the football field.
I couldn't agree more, and it's sad cause he has so much Potential, we can't trade the guy or anything like that, I just don't know what to do in this situation, too bad we can't trade him straight up for the rights to Eric Berry
I don't have twitter, so i don't follow that shit. I don't get why so many people do, but whatever. I will say Rhodes has been playing better this year than last year. Not sure if that matters much, but He is definitely dropping his shoulder hitting people rather than his lame wrap up tackles.
maybe he's right........jesus, you think he'd have the balls to write a lie on his twitter when he knows his teammates will hear about it? he was probably assigned to provide run support, or help cover the middle of the field ........it's completely possible revis was man-on-man on ginn, right??? i don't blame rhodes for covering his ass because it DOES look like the safety should have been up top but that's not necessarily a fact on that particular play.
He should have just ignored that comment instead of giving that kinda reply. This is a TEAM game after all.

The touchdown was his fault, Revis was playing zone, he thought he had help over the top and released him to Rhodes, Rhodes was out of position, and got burned. He needs to get his ass in the film room (stop bitching), Teddy Ginn has hands like feet, yes, but he also runs a 4.3 40....he can get by people.
One game and all of a sudden everyone hates the guy. I understand the frustration but some of the comments in here are absurd. I guarantee half of you that are bashing him right now will love when he talks and backs it up (like he did against the patriots).
He did make a game saving tackle on Ronnie Brown on that last drive. He brought him down on the 2. Although they obviously scored anyway but still. Kerry Rhodes is a good NFL safety. I really thought he would eventually ascend to the next level and be on the tier that guys like Reed and Polamolu are at. Hopefully he will.
