Eeeeeeeexactly. I'm much happier with the way things turned out. Whether the guy is better than people gave him credit for or not, we're sitting pretty with Sanchez and Edwards and there's no reason to look back now.
Dude, my woman is a Cowboys fan and, as a result, I am doomed to watch all Cowboys games. I watched that game yesterday from beginning to end and aside from those 2 impact plays he made, the guy stunk. Just like he stunk last week and the week before. Definitely not worth a 2nd round pick.
One week does not make a career. Austin has done nothing until yesterday. But go ahead an crow about it.
the term "the blind leading the blind" is a fair assessment in regards to most of the posters here. That's why.
At least someone watched him play. Everyone posting on this thread seem to pretend they watched him play. What they don't realize is that the game would have ended in regular time and would have been a blow out, a 38-20 game. How? One dropped pass by Austin lead to 3 pts (add 4 if he catches). One dropped endzone pass lead to a missed FG (Add 7 for the TD). And one dropped endzone pass lead to nothing I believe (add 7 more to the cowboys total). What do we have? a 38-20 blow out of the Chiefs, whatever.
i would guess someone who wanted us get him bumped the thread. the rest is just everyone's inability to not reply to dumb topics. i do include myself in the above statement.
Only two impact plays? I guess you are talking about the TDs. 10 catches for 250 yards and 2 TDs - 25 yards per reception I know he had two 60 yard receptions, which makes that average shoot way up, but he's doing what I said he'd be doing. The guy's a legitimate deep threat (one of the best in the league right now)...something this team didn't have at the beginning of this argument. I'd much rather have Mark Sanchez and now Braylon Edwards, but before the draft, no one expected either of the two moves. After this week, I highly doubt Miles Austin will come to the Jets play in the slot. He'll more than likely receive a HUGE paycheck and become a very overrated #1 receiver for a crappy team.
6 catches for 171 yards and 2 TDs today against Atlanta. This performance basically rules out Miles Austin coming here as a free agent. He'll definitely end up somewhere as a #1 receiver...
So the real question is, Does Jets n Boys eat some crow, or continue to vapidly argue without backing it up?
I don't really give a shit about what he says anymore. I'm thinking about changing MrElectric29 to Jets n Jets. I was really hoping Miles Austin would put up decent stats, just so we could land him in free agency - it's looking like he's going to be a 1,000 + yard receiver that will request a huge contract in the off-season.
