Does a young qb need a distracting personality like this?

Distracting personalities are a product of weak coaching. Rex Ryan isn't going to allow him to be distracting.

Was a new thread for this really necessary?

Most definitely good for Sanchez, He's a rookie and what he needs most is guys getting open and Edwards helps that for J-Co and will be a weapon himself with his size and big play ability.

    1. J-Co
    2. Edwards
    3. Keller
    4. Leon

Thats pretty damn good to me. Also i think things will be better for edwards especially being coached by a guy like Rex who every single person he coaches likes him.

Edwards has better step up and get with the program. That bs he pulled in Cleveland ain't gonna work here.

No, a big, talented, deep threat that will open up the offense will be very bad for Sanchez.

Watching that poor kid trying to thread the needle over and over again into zero separation...

Sanchez is fucking ecstatic right now.

No this is bad for Sanchez because it will mean that he won't be able to learn as quick and can just depend on a good WR instead of learning to cope without one. End Sarcasm.

i bet his distracting personality goes away when he gets here. the locker room seems to be very united, and i assume they will welcome edwards in with open arms. not to mention he is going from an awful disciplinarian coach, to a players coach with a great attitude. i am thinking we will see a complete 180 in edwards attitude ala randy moss.

No, this is great for Sanchez. This makes our offense just as dangerous as our defense. Freeing up the running game and Cotchery. This is a great move by the front office.

hmmm....a young, fast, tall wideout......does Sanchez really need this?

that's like asking yourself if you need to wipe your ass after taking a dump.

I think we are all thinking of the #1 draft pick Braylon Edwards and the 2007 Braylon Edwards. The fact is, in his last 20 games he's barely over 1,000 yds with only 3 TDs and the leader in drops.

I agree he will have an attitude change, but can his skills improve?

One thing Sanchez doesn't need is a WR running the wrong routes or dropping the ball, or getting alligator arms or a complainer.

Again, I don't think the complaining and attitude will be a problem with this team cause it won't fly but can you just magically get your talent back?

Do you think it's a problem of diminishing skills, or that he was on the $hit-ass Browns, with bad coaching and a Jerry's Kid-carousel of QBs? I'm leaning towards the latter.

I think that plays into a little. However, the Browns had high expectations going into last year and Edwards with his drops was a major reason for the start of their implosion. I remember he had a huge one (would have been a 60yd TD) on opening day against the Cowboys.

I agree he was prolly not excited when Mangini was named coach and prolly didn't bust his butt this year.

Well, I guess that is what we are about to find out! And too boot we will find out with a rent a player! He is a FA after this season. I cannot believe we just gave up a 3rd on a rent a player.

I hope he does well and we have to worry about signing him at the end of the year.

I can just imagine edwards akwardly trying to fit in on the first day, so he resorts to something everyone can relate to and just rips on mangini with everybody
