I read a lot of posts and blogs, etc. that were saying that the saints fans were going to be fired up, drunk and loud, sober and loud....etc. Honestly, what a weak crowd that was. The crowd was ready to piss themselves after we recovered the fumble and were ready to drive. The loudest they were all day was when the saints pretty much closed the game with that final touchdown. Otherwise it was not that loud at all. Even the announcers said that the loudest sanchez probably had to deal with was at training camp this week. Just an interesting note because I was expecting a loud N.O. crowd to get to sanchez but that was weak.

I disagree. The Saints fans are wonderful and passionate fans. Their crowd was fine.

i have no problem with their crowd, but you say they were "fine." thats exactly right. they were not bad. I just really didnt here them get loud until the game was a sealed win. And you could hear a pin drop when it looked like the jets were going to tie the game up.

They probably have the same mentality as NYJ fans. Paranoid as fuck.

We have seen too many bad things happen. LOL.

But to say our crowd wasnt loud and Sanchez still performed the way he did, is actually a knock on him, more than our crowd.

Imagine if they were loud, he might of threw 3 INTs. Oh wait, nevermind. LOL J/K

That's because the announcers are idiots. They were saying it wasn't loud when the Saints' had the ball. What moron gets loud when their team is on offense.

Besides that, the Saints had a 2 score lead most of the game and it looked like a blowout until Bush fumbled the ball.

how many of you were in the Dome? The broadcast doesn't reflect the crowd noise, nor do homer commentators like Dierdorf.

Everyone I talked to who was there said it was loud as hell. The Dome is the noisiest stadium in the league.

The crowd was not weak. I have heard it louder, though. The Monday night game against the Falcons after Katrina. And the playoff victory against the Eagles that same season. However, it was pretty friggin' loud this past Sunday.

The crowd lulled when we were coming back, but it wasn't bad at all.

i suppose that stuck in my mind the most, i just thought it was strange for a crowd to go silent while the opposing offense is imposing, youd want to start bringing the noise at that point id think. it wasnt as much of an issue for sanchez as i would have thought itd be. thank god because just about everything else was an issue for him.

One of the streams I was watching didn't have commentating and it was extremely loud. That was only in the first quarter tho. I found a better stream and switched.

I've been to enough Jets games where the atmosphere is like that, so I understand what that's like. It seems different this year, and the reason for that is how good our defense is. Fans want to support that.

i saw one or two people mention this on the forum, and i have no idea what they're talking about.

i can't comment on the post bush fumble because my audio stream wasnt working at that point, but the first 2 quarters were loud as shit.

the first thing i thought to myself when i put the game on was "shit, that's a tough place to play".

Ever since Katrina, that stadium has been insane and they have had a solid home record I believe to back it up. Its a tough environment for any team to go to, especially since its a dome where the ceiling is closed up meaning more noise will be around to disrupt the opposition.

Saint and Jet fans are similar in that they have had to see many shitty squads, had to overcome a lot of disappointments(Like when NYJ lost to STL in OT in that 04 year which left Haslett's Saints off the playoffs...I think that was the year Carney missed the XP vs JAX in like week 16 or something) and are really each considered underdogs heading into each season usually.

Both also don't have the best draft track records too(I dont need to speak for ours and NO has had some stinkers like the Ricky Williams trade, Reggie Bush isn't living up to expecations, Donte Stallworth)

Damn dude, fuck you then. I never came back here talking shit or looking for a medal. I actually came back and gave plenty props to you guys D, especially Revis. I talked to some fun, cool and savy FB guys & gals, obviously, your not one of them.

But considering I doubled my v-cash by laying it all on the Saints, I came back to place a bet on the Jets for the upcoming game. A tool like yourself would make some change their pick to Miami out of spite, but I wont due to your irrelevancy in this world.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it asshole.

Your probably one of the asshole fans that wanted to put Clemons in the game after sanchez's 1st INT, your attitude appears to be over the edge.

And i have a feeling :shit: is what was said at your birth.

    Get a life.

I was at this game sitting 10th row behind the saints bench and I can tell you that they were for no means quiet. Yes their were times when the place got pretty quiet but just about every big play the noise was there and everyone was going crazy.

Even for a jet fan the atmosphere was fun and it was a great game to go to.

Dierdorf is the furthest thing from a homer. He slams the Jets every time he gets a chance. I hate that guy...

Was the person that posted this at the game? Because honestly, if he was then he is a damn idiot.

I have been to the meadowlands tons of times and can confidently say that we are almost never as loud as the dome was this past sunday. I was impressed with their fans being consistently loud on D, and near silent on O.

They had a huge homefield advantage because of it, and frankly you have no idea what you are talking about if you didn't think it was loud. They had a non-trivial lead for most of the game (always with momentum) and their crowd stayed hyped. I for one was impressed by the saints fans.
